Always full of life, the kitsune Rei is a girl who left her family to look for adventure, and love.

Coming from a very fertile species of foxes, Rei has grown however to prefer company of girls, or hermaphrodites, and completely disregard males of any and every race.

(talking about characters here, the player's gender is of no relevance to me)

Energetic and lovingly, meek young Rei is a Bomtail Kitsune.
This variety of fox girl differs from the others for a number of reasons.

For first, the bomtail race is composed entirely of females. A bomtail cannot reproduce unless she mates with another species.

Second of all, a pregnant bomtail will birth most of all other bomtails. The genes that dictates the children's race are very strong in this breed of foxes, and most of the times overcome any other trait from other species.

These two factors allows this kind of foxes to become cross-species breeders, and actively looking for mates in other communities.

A bomtail vixen's womb also works differently. These foxes never experience period cramps, as they don't have a definite ovular cycle. Instead, their ovaries produce eggs during sexual intercourse, granting a very high chance of pregnancy. The species can also handle quite large broods, reaching up to even 30 kits per litter.

Their gestation period lasts no more than nine days. During this time, the female's belly enlarges quickly overnight. A regular bomtail's pup is very small until born, which allows her to be free to move (though restricted, in many circumstances) for at least seven days, before the weight becomes too heavy for her to carry around.

Bomtail pups are small, and grow to adolescence in just about one week. During their first weeks, their bodies grow at a very fast rate. After this time, their sexual organ develop, making them able to reproduce with no ill consequences. In just about one month, they reach adulthood.

Adult bomtails often leave the nest in look of love. But should their family provide enough to satisfy their needs, they will stay in. Records have found families of thousands of individuals, living together, all related one to each other.

The average strength of a member of this species is much lower, compared to other kitsune species. A single bomtail can do very few to protect herself, leaving them very vulnerable to predators. However, their true powers lay in groups. A mob of these vixens can cast magic to some degree, by combining their powers, and overtake larger foes through their sheer numbers.

A clan usually has one alpha. Generally, the alpha is the mother who gave birth to the group to begin with. Through time, she acquires experience and abilities, though alone she still remains weaker than the average kitsune.

A grown up bomtail can eat another human-sized entity whole, and is able to digest every last strand of hair into their bodies, turning them into nutrients and pudge on their hips and bellies. The process is said to be highly sweet and pleasurable, for both parties involved.

An alpha, or a powerful member of the community, is also able to turn a human or demi human into a member of the species, through unbirthing. Once the candidate gets to enter the kitsune's womb, a navel cord will connect to them. During the time it takes for an entity to become a bomtail, the 'mother' cannot get pregnant, as all of her energies are being used to properly conduct the change.

Haters of violence and persecution, bomtails are adorable fluffy balls of friendship and love, and this is perhaps their strongest weapon. They want and try to befriend just about anyone. And when someone gets into one of this girls' circle of friends, it can be certain that they will gain the protection of the whole family, or clan.

Rare chances could bring to the creation of a herm bomtail. One of these keeps fully functional female genitals, and a set of male ones as well. Similarly to a bomtail's womb, their sperm is able to cause a human or demi-human girl to ovulate during intercourse, resulting in a nearly certain impregnation. Spawning rates for this kind of breed are however very slim, making herm bomtails almost a myth among the species.

A bomtail's name changes according to her history and choices. 'Rei' means zero, and it's the name these vixens take when they start adventuring on their own, with the precise goal to build up a large family.
