"Well, if you hadn't have guessed you're being downsized, as we speak in fact. I'll make sure your loved ones get your last paycheck once you've been terminated and truly let go from the company.....and my butthole."

The corporate world was very much like the wilds in that it was eat or be eaten, there were those that stood at the top of the food chain and lorded over those at the bottom. The lion's did what they wanted and enjoyed life, the sheep broke eye contact with all that stared too long in hopes not to attract the wrong type of attention. For the most part it was a system that worked even if it was a little cruel.

And then there was Sabine Daye

If ever there was a department to get some bad press it was most certainly the HR department, although to be fair in the case of Sabine this bad press was entirely warranted. The head of the HR department was known for being a little strict with her rules and since her promotion after a rather messy disagreement in protocols with her previous manager the company had seen quite a high turn around.......and a considerable increase in Sabine's budget for new bra's

Although the HR team were several members strong it was always Sabine that did the final exit interview with any staff that were deemed to be dead weight and were due for termination so it wasn't odd to see the mature raven haired woman sporting a bit of a gut while her white blouse threatened to burst free, it had happened a couple of times in the past after all.

If nothing else Sabine was efficient in her job and she was considered an asset to the company.....or perhaps the higher ups were simply afraid of her. After all, even a lion could be taken down by a snake in the right circumstances! .

Now, have you been a good worker....or do you need to be downsized over a couple of days as well? !!
