Our story begins as many do, at the start…..

The Western Forests, home to elf, human and centaur alike, were a thriving area of life. The three species had co-existed for many years and the grudges from the old wars had long since been buried, it was a place where no one species towered above the others, at least not in power. Each race contributed to the survival of the others and this in turn strengthened the bond that each shared with one another.

The Western Forests and the small settlements located in an around the great woods had seen peace for many years and had seen very little disturbance, aside from a variety of small bandit attacks and rogue individuals the settlers had lived a carefree life. Minor offences such as disappearances were common, these were often solved however for it was not unusual for one being to offer themselves to another in an act of love and passion, it was a natural occurrence and the three races accepted it. Some disappearances were never solved and although the cause was very much the same as many, they could not be proven and were eventually forgotten.

Scarlett was born at a time when the three races were expanding their territory outwards towards the borders of the great plains and Southern Forests, it was not out of choice but rather for a fresh supply of goods for their shared kingdom. The elder of each species had deemed it necessary and so small expeditions were sent forth to explore the uncharted territory.

Scarlett’s parents, Medina and Kerol, were part of a small expedition tasked with locating a viable water source for a larger group that would arrive a day or two later. With their elven companions and human warriors accompanying them their mission was accomplished very quickly but the small band were unaware that the territory they had entered was already occupied by that of other races. A small skirmish ensued and the band was forced to retreat but not before losing two of their company in the process.

As the larger force arrived the area of the skirmish was searched for any sign of the fallen, there was no trace and the elders swiftly came to the conclusion that they had fallen prey to the predators that lurked in the uncharted forest. It was decided that only large expeditions would be sent forth and Kerol was assigned command of one such unit, his wife however was not. Medina, only just escaping the skirmish with her life, was not given the opportunity to travel again for she had been carrying the unborn Scarlett for close to her term. The heavily pregnant mare could have birthed at any day and Kerol did not wish for his wife or child to come to any harm. Medina was an accomplished archer but she was also destined to be a mother and to Kerol that took priority.

Medina was sent home to her village where she gave birth to the beautiful Scarlett, a taur that held the beautiful white hair of her mother and the dazzling red eyes of her father. Scarlett was a rare beauty and over time blossomed into a healthy young centaur, her childhood however was a broken one for the expeditions lasted far longer than expected. Scarlett went many years before ever meeting her father and it was only for a short time. Called away to lead once more Kerol was forced to leave his wife and daughter, much to his and their dismay, he was not destined to return.

The expeditions had proven costly, the three kingdoms had taken a considerable amount of land but in the process had grown weak for leaving themselves stretched thin, the predators of the uncharted land attacked frequently and took prisoners and snacks as often as they could. Kerol fell defending the last of his unit. Scarlett met her father only once but his impression on her remained.


Medina cared for Scarlett just as she had done so for many years but the loss of her husband had taken its toll on the mare and eventually she passed of a broken heart leaving the adolescent Scarlett to fend for herself. With the help of her village Scarlett continued to blossom into a beautiful young mare, her body grew muscular and endowed, her silken hair stretched far down her back and her face grew ever more luscious. Scarlett continued to be a figure of beauty but her talents strayed from that of simple looks, the taur, using her mothers redwood bow, trained for many hours a day until she like her mother was an accomplished archer.

Scarlett, when reaching the age of enlistment, volunteered as a member of the forward expedition and served with pride in place of her parents. Knowing herself to have done her parents proud she enlisted in the scouts and soon broke away from the main expedition into uncharted territory. Her adventures have lead her to experience many strange events and even stranger creatures but she has bested them all. Scarlett is experienced but there’s no telling what could be hiding behind the next tree or boulder….
