Physical description:
Adalet is, quite simply, a rather large naga. Unlike lamias, nagas are cold-blooded creatures, and are much more active during the day, but also grown to be on average slightly larger than their warm-blooded kin. Adalet in particular is a large specimen even for a naga, tipping the scales at nearly two metric tons and measuring just under 22 meters from the top of her head to the tip of her tail. Her "human" torso is roughly 1.5 meters from her head to her hips and the beginning of her snake half, making her proportionally much larger than the average human before even taking into account her extended tail section. At her thickest, Adalet measures nearly a full meter in diameter.

Adalet could be most easily described as caucasian in her "human" coloration, perhaps fitting considering that she calls a town deep in the Caucasus mountains home. Blonde hair that spills down to her mid-back and striking green eyes frame an attractive round face that looks remarkably young for her position.

Her tail is much more vividly colored. The dorsal scales of her serpentine coils alternate in patterns between a rich, royal purple and a lighter shade of lilac or lavender. Simple geometric patterns repeat along the length of her tail, though irregularly and with no set interval. Her underbelly is cream-colored, and extends from where her torso meets her tail to just short of the end of her body length.

Adalet is female, and possesses only one set of genitalia in the form of a slit where her human and snake halves meet. Normally, this slit is hidden from view, but during periods of arousal becomes visible both due to the natural swelling of her vaginal lips, but also the presence of a clear lubricating fluid. Secondary sexual characteristics manfiest in the form of a pair of shapely breasts on her human half, of decent proportion to her general size.

The exact species of snake that Adalet resembles is yet unknown, but she exhibits behavior similar to constrictor species, coiling up potential prey repeatedly and squeezing before devouring the unfortunate individual. She possesses two stomachs, each with a separate function. Her fore-stomach, which begins where the stomach in her human torso would normally sit, is designed more for storage than for digesting food. Objects (or prey) left in this stomach long enough will eventually digest, but the process takes literally years. The second stomach is significantly more hostile. Beginning roughly half way through her tail segment, Adalet's aft-stomach will digest prey in hours, rather than years. A full grown man, subject to the powerful digestive processes inside, will be reduced to component nutrients and absorbed in less than six hours. In emergencies, Adalet's fore-stomach can briefly match the digestive capacity of her aft-stomach, but only for between eight and twelve hours as an upper bound before the increased acidity starts to wear on her gastric lining. Due to her nature as a creature at the very least closely related to snakes, she is capable of dislocating her jaw and swallowing prey much larger than any human her size could manage. Her digestive system stretches elastically, and both of her stomachs can hold much more than they appear to from the outside, already an immense capacity. Using both stomachs, Adalet can consume objects or other creatures up to nearly 50% more than her own weight or volume without being forced to regurgitate part of the meal.

Strangely, occupants in her stomachs do not require sustenance in the same way as outside the naga, as if her body is keeping them safe somehow. Less so for the ones in her digestive stomach, but the point is sound. A meal will not expire of thirst or hunger, nor feel any need to relieve him or herself while inside the naga.

By virtue of her incredibly efficient digestive processes, Adalet generates very little bodily waste. That which she does is released privately, though the naga need relieve herself on average only once per month, and then only if she has eaten very well that month.

Occupation:
The mid-size town of Gadabay, Azerbaijan makes extensive use of Adalet's odd biology. Instead of driving off the naga, or inviting her to live as a resident, as many other settlements have done since time immemorial, the citizens of Gadabay unanimously elected Adalet to the position of Judicator within the town government. Encompassing the positions of judge, jury, executioner, and several duties of the mayor and police, Adalet is the sole judicial and primary executive power in Gadabay. Laws are passed through her, she oversees investigations of criminal activity within the town, acts as the judge during the trial, hands down the verdict at the conclusion of the trial, and finally enacts the verdict, whatever it may be.

Since her induction, crime in Gadabay has fallen nearly 30 percent. One experience with the city judicial system is enough to see why. The most common sentence in Gadabay is one month imprisonment, often dispensed for crimes such as shoplifting, petty theft, breaking and entering, and even the more minor cases of assault, sexual or otherwise. "Imprisonment" entails being swallowed whole and alive by the naga, to spend the duration of the sentence entombed in her stomach until such a time she releases the convict. Naturally, repeat offenders are rare, and those that do revisit the belly of the beast are frequently in it to get their rocks off, more than anything. Steadily harsher and longer terms of imprisonment are meted out for more serious offenses, with the current record duration inside Adalet standing at ten years for sixteen counts of grand theft auto that were performed over the course of eight months before the thief was captured.

For crimes more serious than simple theft or non-lethal assault, there is a proverbial nuclear option, as it were. Murderers, rapists, and often corrupt government officials are sentenced to death. Once again, the sentence is carried out by Adalet, who this time gets a free, legitimate meal out of the deal, sending the convict to her aft-stomach and allowing the person to digest, frequently painfully, though she seems to have some manner of control over this part of her digestive process.

Repeat offenders that have not yet graduated to the death penalty, and prisoners who otherwise cause trouble in her fore-stomach, are put into 'solitary confinement' for the duration of their sentence. In a process that no witness can describe, and no participant will consider thinking about, Adalet separate's the offender's very soul form his or her body, and devours the body before the soul's terrified perception. Immediately there after, she inserts the tangible soul into her vagina, and seals it away inside her womb until it is to be released.

Truly heinous offenders, the likes of serial murderers or criminals that have made an attempt on Adalet's own life are "treated" to the harshest of penalties. Adalet strips the offender's soul from his or her body, devours the body, and maintains her grasp on the body's soul until the soul can feel itself digesting in her aft-stomach. Not content to allow them to experience that living agony, she then swallows the soul itself, which follows its body into her digestive process. Witnesses to the event have reported a vague awareness of unfathomable suffering from the condemned.
