"Deeper into the forests, near the foothils of the Andrykin mountains is a special breed of draconis. A white scaled monster that has persisted throughout countless centuries.
A creature that many have come to believe to be an ageless, otherworldly beast. Here only to eternally satiate a bottomless desire for wealth at all costs.
What very fortunate few I have spoken to about this mythical being have talked of the glittering hoard hidden in it's mountain home, the beasts treasure composed of currency from across the many lands- some if it from kingdoms and empires long since lost to time.
They also spoke in hushed tones about the more erratic and eclectic parts of the hoard. Massive misshapen mounds of solid gold interspersed around outcroppings of precious gemstones. Large vats of liquid pearl.
The bonees that jutted out of those great gold piles and left scatterd about, encrusted with crystal and gold. Gilded skulls, even full skeletons, of all kinds of races.
Though it is something of a mystery as to where some of these things have come from, it is no stretch of the imagination to say that this terror, the White Dragon, was responsible in some capacity. The fact the few I spoke to managed to make it out alive is a miracle."

Being so unwelcoming isn't conducive to study.
The reality is that they're a people that have long since broken themselves off from the world, deciding ages ago they had no care left for the planet beyond material gain and hoarding it all for themselves.
Now, they spend their days laying about and counting their riches, literally, and adding to them when they can.
They do this in a very... unusual way, their own biology fundamentally altered to be conducive to their eternal greed.
It's true, they do tend to kill those that enter their lands, but they do so by consuming those they catch.
Their bodies very rapidly tear into the victim, melting and converting the body into liquid gold, which is passed back out of the body and solidifies.This can be done by forcing prey to enter through either end, though being pressed into the cock has... siginificatly different results.
Through this, they're able to sate their need to increase their material wealth.
Adonias, however, doesn't like taking his victims in the same way as the rest of his kind do.
He likes it to be a little more lively, for there to be some chance of escape or withdrawal.
