Aeldi

Aeldi is the last of her kind in her home world of Ashtageo and like all residents of Ashtageo, she has her own hidden constellation in the Sea of Stars which was discovered at birth to be the rare and peculiar one of The Rotund Rodent. Since each person has a different constellation, with no two being the same, Aeldi's was a difficult one to figure out. She didn't have her parents to teach her either.

Her parents along the rest of her race, except herself, were wiped out one fateful night by the Augustian Empire. She was stashed away and kept hidden by her own parent's hands. When it was all over, the young one was left alone at the age of 7 to fend for herself. She was giant and so everything was so small to her so getting food was no issue. However, she was developing a strange habit of just swallowing her food without chewing which felt good to her for some unexplained reason. Perhaps it was the constellation's power? That wasn't entirely the case though as her power was discovered as people came to the island she was stranded upon.

It had been the first time in ages since people had come to the island itself since the assault. They immediately met with Aeldi who saw each one as a yummy food source she had never tried. Each visitor tried desperately to fight her but she proved to be much too strong for them. She didn't understand at all that these were living things as she was still a child and didn't know any better. One by one, she would swallow up each individual with childish glee. But there was one who was attempting to understand her and, in a gamble, ended up convincing her that it was wrong to just eat people. But too little, too late for the already ingested people were lost.

The next few months, the two would become friends despite what Aeldi had done. Aeldi learned that her new friend had an ability to jump especially high which was how they evaded Aeldi in their initial encounter. Aeldi wanted to find out her power too. One night though, Aeldi would discover it.

It was late and both were fast asleep. Aeldi woke up first though and saw her friend. Food hadn't been found for days and they were struggling to survive. Aeldi had said she wouldn't eat another person...but something inside her, an uncontrollable urge drove her to pick up her sleeping friend and toss her into her open mouth. Her friend awoke with a start to find herself in Aeldi's large belly. She demanded she be let out and was very upset with Aeldi. Aeldi too was upset and began to cry and apologized over and over again for being so weak. Her friend forgave her miraculously after a short while, saying it was only natural for her and that she would've actually given herself to Aeldi to feed her when the situaton was dire enough. Aeldi didn't want to see her friend go. She liked her way too much.

Aeldi pleaded, clasping her hands together for her friend to be okay but then Aeldi felt something strange as did her friend. Her friend would feel a tingling sensation and their body carried upward into a strange chamber, both wondering exactly what was going on. Aeldi was happy that her friend wasn't gone. Her friend was happy too but not as happy as the giant girl was. She held on to dear life inside this chamber as Aeldi jumped extremely high in the air for joy. This surprised even the giant girl who wondered what had happened and why she could jump high like her friend now. Her friend finally figured it out; if she ingestsx someone with a power or ability and really cares about them, she can use that power herself for a time.

After this event, they would spend time with one another for awhile until a young person on a mission with a huge pirate vessel came for a visit with all their friends. They weren't the captain but they were the self-appointed leader. Aeldi grew to be friends with them and their companions. Her old friend asked the person that she be taken with them and the person, being extremely rambunctious, agreed. Aeldi's friend traveled with them too for a time until Aeldi had to bid farewell to her in a tearful goodbye.

Now she sails the high seas on a magical ship capable of housing her as a resident. It will sometimes have her stumble into other worlds for a time but be warned; she still has her old habits and won't hesitate to gulp another living thing down.

Ingests her prey and can keep them safe inside to inherit any or all of their powers for at least 1 hour max.

Personality
She is quite naive like all children and often asks lots of questions about things she doesn't know about. She is adorably innocent, even when swallowing up prey. She will warm up to others quickly if they can get on her good side but more often than not, she can and will swallow up those smaller than her own who aren't her friends...and may even swallow her friends sometimes but reforms them as she loves her friends yet still likes to savor them from time to time. She is prone to fits and will sometimes bawl uncontrollably for even the most inane reason but will absolutely lose it if something bad happens to a friend. She can also get scared if the fear is real enough...
