My name is Aerith Gainsborough. I live in the slums of the church in sector 5. My home is just outside of there. My life was turned upside down when a first class soldier member dropped out of the sky, through the roof of the church, and onto my flower bed. For some reason flowers can't grow in midgar but have no problems growing in the church.

Anyway, the First Class Soldier, Zack, became my first boyfriend, we went walking together through the slums and it was his idea to brighten things up a bit by selling my flowers. We sold the flowers together with the flower cart that Zack built for me. The last one he made for me, we sold to make some money because a scientist from Shinra's R&D department saw it and thought it would make a good weapon.

Shortly after we started selling flowers, Zack had to go on a mission. During the five years that i didn't see him, i sent him 89 letters.

5 years after he left midgar for his mission in Nibelheim, another man fell through the roof of the church. This mans name was Cloud. That's when my life changed for good, I hired him to be my bodyguard and escort me home because the turks were after me. They were after me because i am the last surviving ancient, a race of beings thousands of years old that can communicate with the planet and lead people to the promised land, which is supposed to be filled with pure Mako Energy.

Cloud escorted me home and then left for sector 7 to meet up with his friends. I snuck out and followed him. We ended up at wall market where i helped cloud dress up like a woman and enter Don Corneos Mansion where we heard Tifa was. After rescuing Tifa, we confronted Don about something Barret had heard he was a part of. Don sprung a trap on us and we fell into the sewers. We fought and defeated his pet Rapps, no big thing.

We escaped the sewers and back into sector 7 just in time to watch the plate over the slums fall and crush it. There were many casualties that day. I was told to take Marlene, Barrets daughter, and hide before the plate collapsed. I took her to my home in sector 5 where i allowed myself to be captured in exchange for Marlene's Safety.

I was placed in am experiment tank with a being known as Red XIII. We were supposed to mate to preserve both of our species as both Red and I were the last of our two species. Just before i was about to be taken by an acting Red, Cloud, Barret and Tifa showed up and broke us out of there. I go one way with Barret while Cloud, Tifa, and Red go another, figuring the shinra guards wouldn't be able to catch us all. Sadly we were wrong. We were all caught and taken up to the top floor to President Shinra. We were then taken down to the holding Cells, I was placed in a room alone and got a flash of Jealousy when i found out Cloud and Tifa were placed in a cell together.

After a fitful nights sleep, i am awakened by Tifa telling me that the doors were open, which seemed stupid to me, as if she was in there, the doors must have been open.

We left to find a trail of purple blood leading from the creature Jenova's tank up to the elevator, onto the next floor up, around the floor and up to the President's office. Slouched over the desk was President Shinra with Sephiroth's Masamune sword through his heart. He was dead. The President's son landed on the roof and gave us all a speech about how his father controlled the world with money and how he was going to control it with Fear.

I left along with Tifa, Barret, and Red. Tifa stayed behind to give Cloud support and the rest of us entered the elevators. When we were on our way down, we were attacked by a cybernetic tank and then a cybernetic helicopter. We defeated them easily.

Once we got to the bottom, we got into a blue truck and i drove us out of there following cloud on his motorcycle. I tried to swerve and dodge the motorcyclists but they kept coming and hitting us. Luckily Cloud was able to take them all out and we were safe. That is until we were attacked by a large Six wheeled robot thing that nearly killed us. But again we defeated it.

We left Midgar immediately after that and headed off in search of Sephiroth. We first went to Kalm where we heard the backstory of what happened five years previously. I wondered why he never mentioned Zack during this story but brushed it off.

After Kalm, we traveled to the Chocobo Ranch where we watched some Chocobos dance and got the Choco/Mog materia. I was given the first Summoning of our journey.

We were able to catch three Chocobos and ride across the marshlands to avoid the Midgar Zolom, which could sense the vibrations of feet on his marshland and attack faster than teh human feet could run.

When we got to teh other side of the marsh, we saw a Zolom speared through a sharp tree. Obviously Sephiroths doing. We made it to the other side of the cave after a meeting with the turks who told us Sephiroth was on his way to Junon.

When we arrived there, we went down to the beach where we saved a girl named Pricilla from a worm like creature from the ocean. After saving her, we were given the Shiva Summon Materia. We then heard Sephiroth was aboard the ship bound for Costa Del Sol. We quickly followed him there where we disguised ourselves as shinra to be able to get on board the ship. We were disguised well enough that no one from Shinra knew we weren't theirs.

An alarm sounded and we went to investigate. It turned out to be Jenova. After a rough Battle, we defeated her and recieved the Ifrit Summon Materia. We made it to Costa Del Sol, where we again went to the beach. There we Met Professor Hojo who told us Sephiroth was on his way towards Corel.

We ran there and on the way we met and fought Yuffie Kisaragi. After winning the fight, we convinced her to join us.
