General Personality Kiyomi is a rather nice, sweet kitsune with a big personality. On one hand, Kiyomi is a bit of a hyper, happy girl that is constantly giving off cheesy grins and laughing at small jokes when they’re told. She’s kind of klutz-y when she’s practicing her various techniques that her mother has taught her, and she also seems easily frustrated by every little failure. On the other hand, Kiyomi has the nerves of an ancient kitsune. She becomes calculating in her movements, and she stays cool under pressure. She tends to be a lot more serious in this sense, however, she doesn’t turn cold-hearted, simply focused on what she’s doing. | |
Background The Akane family is an infamous family known for being powerful warrior-kitsune, capable of taking on evil spirits, vicious demons, and other dark beings. Known for worshipping the kitsune goddess dubbed Her Lady of the Compassionate Blade, the Akane family was one of the largest clans leftover. Born under the sun, Kiyomi was predicted to be the next nine-tailed warrior of the Akane clan. Thus lead her early life being far more rigorous than most people’s. At three, Kiyomi learned to read and write. At five, Kiyomi was practicing basic spellcraft and spellwork. At seven, Kiyomi was beginning to learn hand-to-hand combat. At nine, Kiyomi began to learn to use lighter weapons. From there, Kiyomi’s rigorous training continued from advanced spellwork to more intensive combat training. Deciding to give Kiyomi a better social life, Kiyomi was sent to a school among other people of various races and various backgrounds. Kiyomi’s social life had not been overly stunted thanks to her training as a priestess as well. However, as with all great things, they must come to an end. On Kiyomi’s 18th birthday, the entire clan had decided to gather while the girl was away to throw a surprise party; instead, however, one of the more ancient demon foxes found the gathering of power to be a wonderful chance to end them. Leaving the Akane clan decimated and slaughtered within their own home. Kiyomi would come back, finding the horrifying sight of her family left with no life. Men, women, children…everyone she loved or would have possibly loved was left lying on the ground in a haze of gore. The demon fox would approach, deciding wholeheartedly that he would end the lineage once and for all; however, the lines of fate drew another line. The stress caused by the situation allowed Kiyomi to absorb the willing spiritual energy of those around her, growing in power to become a nine-tailed kitsune. From the burst of power and her training from a young age, Kiyomi was able to eek out what small victory could be gleaned from the situation before passing out. With her old home destroyed, Kiyomi moved to the Akane Shrine in Nexus City, choosing to attend the local college as well as focus on her priestess duties.
