Algithe

Algithe is the head of the military force within Frillus, a fortified city in both the sense of its gargantuan walls and its geographical location. With deep ravines forming a horseshoe around the city, and with mountains on the other side, those who look to siege the city are left with no easy way to do so. As if its geographical location didn't already give the city enough defensive strength, a large dome-shaped magic barrier forms a shield for the city, with the only way through being a heavily guarded tunnel. "So, why all the defensive precautions?" one might ask. Frillus is a strict city that keeps its secrets guarded closely, and outright denies trade or help from any other outside sources. In other words, if it isn't made by the people of Frillus, it doesn't belong in Frillus. However, that's where there's a missing link. Due to Frillus' cold, barren location that offers little in terms of resources, there's no way that it should be even close to being self-sufficient, let alone thriving. That is, until you look at what lies beneath, literally. The city has an exceptional amount of power, but no natural or ordinary means of generating it. Rather, beneath the city's foundation lies something alive. Frozen, chained, bound, and fused into the Earth itself beneath the city lies a lesser Eldritch Horror that has lied dormant for centuries. This Eldritch constantly radiates energy that the city then uses for self-sustain and other various purposes that make it a truly formidable force. If it were to awaken, however, the only thing that it would bring to Frillus is uncontested annihilation.

So, where does this leave the general? In Frillus, people are born as mages more than they are non-mages, and Algithe is no exception. With a strategic and cunning mind, a cold and unforgiving attitude, and most importantly, the power to create and control ice proved her to be a valuable asset. Slowly she moved up the ranks of the military until she found herself at the very top of the chain of command. Above all, she values strength and the will to preserve not humanity, but instead the people of Frillus for all of eternity. If she even suspects an outsider of being of any harm or danger to Frillus or its people, she doesn't hesitate to dispose of them the first chance she gets. Of course, this leads to a rather grim reputation, not that the ice mage seems to mind. Her demeanor and mindset is intense and unforgiving, but she still is human. While it takes a lot of time and even more luck, one can warm up to her frozen heart and form a trusting bond with enough effort. One wrong step, however, and they could also end up as a meaningless ice cube in a drink.
