Alir_Vizharan

Alirvizharangosa, or simply Alir; was lain to a family of dragons living high in the mountains. As proud descendants of Citrine; the Goddess of his clan and Matriarch, they had hoped Alir would go on to discover just why she hadent returned to their humble community. However, at a very young age Alir made it well known that he really didn't care where she was.. mostly due to the fact that if she truly were all powerful; she could and would still be among them. This earned him an early banishment when he was barely of age to glide; much less fly!

He survived his early years by the kindness of others; that is to say whatever they left behind.. he took. He traveled the mountains in what at first was a search for a family, but quickly became a hunt for survival. No one had prepared the young dragon for the rigorous life of travel; and nor would they ever have considering the entire community had lived in the same location for centuries. They had no need of travel due to the ever-known power of their Goddess. At first he took offshoot refuge in an abandoned grizzly bears' den after they had left from their hibernation. By the time the bear returned; he had grown enough in size to ensure she would find a new cave. Two years passed and in those years, he mastered low land flight and cliff gliding (Meaning he could fall from vast distances and right himself by simply letting his wings catch the air.)


Once he had found himself a proper cave near the base of the mountains, he lived for years between the forests and mountains. He took up discarded furs and bones, even harvesting some himself all the while.. and became known for his extremely high quality leather goods. He never wore any himself, but the dragon found he needed something to distract his mind from the painful memories of his banishment. Over the years he grew a distinct hatred towards the community in which he lived; but never directly towards his own parents. He does not remember their names anymore; for it has been several centuries since those days.. but he does smile when he sees a family.


Now one can find Alir wandering through towns, parks, fields and forests.. and for that reason alone; to wander. He has lived enough years to get his fortune, secure an impressive den, and now only had one thing left to do with his extremely long life. He has however found a mate, and he has yet to die. His mate is Talecgosa. His species, being of combination of red dragon and white, is not incapable of death.. but to actually kill one would take measures far beyond the common dragon slayer or even predator. In order to acctually destroy him, you'd have to completely annihilate his own desire TO live. This is one reason why banishment is such a burden for dragonkind. It also has caused exactly every one of his family members' and their friends that have died.. to have done so out of sheer depression/torture/extreme woundings/horrendous events. Some may see it as a blessing to never die unless you want too.. especially since that its based on the dragons energy; or soul; instead of being physically alive. But when you consider that their are only 122 (now 121) members of his species; you can consider how many have fallen despite their seeming immortality. To be shunned by ones own family takes away alot of reason for living. Alir found a way past that.. and hopes to start his own soon.

Alir stands approximately 11 feet tall when he isn't slouching or crouching, and his wingspan is exactly two and half times that (27.5 feet). He is well muscled and takes great pride in that fact. His every step and motion will cause his muscles to move in an extremly precise ballet of flesh. He may seem a little vain for the fact that one will catch him checking his body for "weakness" and rigorously working to remove such. Mostly this is a more primal species thing.. in that the best male gets the female. Therefore; he instinctively tries to look and be the best. He weighs 2650 lbs ( A bit over 1 1/4 tons) and is basically all fighter. In his lifestyle, its kill or be killed and obviously he has not yet died. His body holds its share of scars, but all of them are hidden under constantly regrowing scales. He retains an image of a youth; however his eyes betray his knowledge. In comparison to most dragons and even some humanoids he has met, he is not that old. He is exactly 312 years old and will happily tell you so if you'd ask him. He has a great many years to go in his life (hopefully) and he looks forward to it with the eyes of a child.


Personality wise he acts more like a reserved individual who tends to stick to himself.. unless of course your a female dragon. In which case, sheer instinct alone will demand some kind of attention from him. He is well past his puberty stage, even in dragon standards.. and is barely of age to be considered an adult. As such, he acts like your typical "new" adult. He likes to socialize, though rarely does.. he enjoys games, especially the physical ones; and most importantly he does not judge anyone. He still has about him the youthful ignorance of judging others based upon their actions. He moreso cares about how you act around him. In other words, you could be the most sinister person in the world; and he'd never mention it if you treated him with kindness. This isn't to say he is stupid, for he will KNOW that person is not a Good one.. but he will not let that stop him from enjoying their company.


He tends to become a little upset if one were in inquire about his family or why the fact remains that he does not look quite like.. well, any dragon hybrid anyone has seen. Unless of course the rare individual comes along that knows of his community, almost no one will be able to place the birthplace and lineage of his kind. The only ones who would be able too would be dragon hunters of a VERY specific nature.. or extremely well traveled and aged characters. His community is ancient, secret, and very seclusive about where they live. He wont tell you where; even if he remembered. But some things are burned in his blood..
