Intro/History The fruits of a failed prophecy and a world of misplaced, misguided hopes. A world that devoured itself and had misgivings about fading away. Frightened, they sent a proverbial time capsule into the unknown, a seed containing only the most essential pieces of them to hopefully take root somewhere and flourish. This living representative of the doomed race, in a plan weaved of bitter desperation and frantic faith, would be their new beginning. Why a young girl, scarcely having entered her teenage years? The prophecy called for an uncorrupted soul, but also for a vessel of incredible receptivity, to survive the process, carry the legacy, and adapt to the new world she was to be deployed. Being the adoptive granddaughter of a well-respected sage also helped. The prophecy carried hopes of tomorrow and excepted any risk, so why would a world condemned reject it? Doom had been foretold since their very beginning, and this diseased world bid farewell to Allyssa Cromwell when it finally reared its ugly head. Only the most renowned of scholars and innovative scientists had contact with her for years, filling her impressionable young mind with every morsel of information about their history, race, achievements, failures, icons, morals and such. To avoid breaking the poor girl, science and mysticism collaborated to seal most of this away inside her mind and spirit, to be unlocked when necessary, while allowing her enough access to carry on living. It had changed the girl, but that was to be expected, and when the hour came, Allyssa was escorted into an unstable portal that was just as likely to tear her atom-from-atom as transport her whole to another world. The prophecy foresaw her emergence in a waiting universe, so that her race may begin anew. The prophecy was wrong. The girl survived the transportation without any adverse effects. But she ended up here. The late world's last hope for survival, on any level, was more or less flushed down the toilet.

Personal Info Overview Allyssa is incredibly intelligent for her age, due to her extraordinary schooling, but has no supernatural powers, save one, which will be explained below. She's of skinny, but otherwise average build, definitely not intended for survival in a world as unforgiving as the Park. Her clothing is simple, cheap, and intended for warm environments, usually. Her possessions are few, including: Inventory - A device like an MP3 player, with a limited and foreign collection of music, permanently affixed to a set of high-end headphones. - A heavy-duty suitcase, filled with mundane items of little value. -Three identical summer outfits (tank-top and shorts, with undergarments), a single fall jacket, and two pairs of new blue jeans. - A pair of black sneakers. - One sleeping bag, two pillows, and a small blanket. - A toolkit, with basic tools, utensils, and a flashlight. Also contains a small first aid kit. Special In addition, after 72 hours, any wounds sustained by her begin to heal rapidly. As of now, it is unconfirmed whether or not this extends to more severe conditions, illness, or death. Personality Allyssa is curious and seeks social interaction, yet may be shy or selective in who she chooses to interact with. On the other hand, with matters she is confident in, she may be as bold as she is reserved. She is not easily persuaded, nor easily tricked, but is still very curious, as her unusual conditions before arriving in this world have left her with many questions and very few answers. She possesses as analytical an attitude as a girl her age is capable of, and has an astounding capacity for understanding and empathy. She strives to be the independent and important figure she was told she was, even if the prophecy highlighting her life was a mistake. Her interests include music, discovery, magic, and non-human creatures as well as humans. In her mind, she's still responsible for integrating herself in this world and surviving. She longs to return home, of course, but there's simply no home to return to. Accepting this was difficult, and leaves her reluctant to call anywhere 'home' again.
