when Florida detonated in the arcane Incident of 1984, a lot of people were caught in the blast. It affected each of them differently.

The lucky ones died instantly.

One of the least remarkable mutations of Afflicted individuals is Acute Neuron Decay Syndrome, more commonly referred to as Ghoul Syndrome. The afflicted suffer intense neural decay, loss of fine motor function, slurring of speech, and often partial loss of vision. They also often suffer high loss to impulse control and an intense slowing of bodily functions, resulting in very low body tempratures, slow healing, and a far more dangerous low blood pressure. The afflicted look, act, and sound quite similar to the zombies that often appear in popular horror media, though unlike those undead they can very much feel pain, are not particularly stronger than anyone else, and don't usually have any desire to consume human flesh.

Alma was vacationing in Florida with her family during the Incident. She doesn't remember much afterwards, aside from staggering into the military baricades and being rushed to a medical facility in the back of a truck. She was very lucky, by all accounts, as early encounters with ANDS Afflicted in those early days often resulted in the Afflicted being shot on sight by jumpy national guardsmen and army personell. In fairness, few of the thing to come wandering out of the Exclusion Zone were friendly.
She'd been in the Zone for three weeks. Her parents were missing, assumed dead. their bank had already auctioned off their property. She had no home, no future, and no one to turn to once she was wheeled out of the field hospital. A few expecially kind soldiers gave her a few hundred dollars and a train ticket to Mobile, Alabama, where she spent some years homeless before a state trooper, witnessing local youths enacting violence upon the "zombie" gave her a ride north to Lindon, where his grandmother gave her a home of sorts in her motel. And she's stayed there since, long since having given up finding work in her state.

occationally, she loses control over her faculties entirely, and if she's particularly hungry, she has a bad habit of snacking on busty milfs....

This girl's practically made for temp play, but it's not required~. If you do want to spend some time padding her hips and thighs, I'll lay out my dice rules here (and explain the nerdy shit after).

I find it's more fun for the prey player to roll, and decide their own fate~. None of this is required, and if the number the prey player gets is too high for their liking, they can always back out or try again. I'm also open to just rolling dice with no committment, just to see how long the prey could have been ghoul pudge~.

First, roll 1d6. Take the result of this roll, and roll that many d6 and add the total. (For example, say Ellie rolls 3d6, she then rolls three 1d6, getting a 2, a 4, and a 3. the total is 9.) This number doesn't mean anything... yet. The next roll determines what that number is~.
at this point, the prey player may choose Standard, High Risk, or Ultra High Risk. Standard rolls a d12 at this point. Both variants of High Risk roll a D20, but both work the same way. the prey player rolls their chosen die until they get two numbers that fall within a bracket, the brackets listed below. The bracket the prey player gets determines what the number they got from their d6's is- days, weeks, months....
potentially, if the prey is very unlucky (or lucky~) in high risk, years~.
If the prey thinks their result is too high or low, the option always exists to downgrade or upgrade the length spent. I want you to have fun, above all else.

Brackets are as follows:
Standard: (on a D12)
1-7: Days
7-11: weeks
12: Months

High Risk: (on a d20)
1-6: Days
7-14: weeks
15-19: Months
20: Years~

Ultra High Risk:
Same as above in High Risk, but a single d20 counts as two~


Example: Ellie chooses High Risk. She rolls a 6, a 12, a 20, a 17, and a 11 on the d20. Referring back to her roll on the d6's, she's pudge for 9 weeks, as 12 and 11 both fall in the weeks bracket. Bye, Ellie~

I don't know how well it translates out to rolling on Eka's, but at least in real life with physical dice, the average d6 roll is a 4 or 3. there's a lot of spread on a d6, though, so these numbers can be wildly different. A d12's average falls around 7, putting the bracket for days/weeks right on the line, so there's likely going to be an even split. A d20's average roll is actually 12, meaning the most common results will fall in the weeks bracket, with some chance to deviate into days or months. Eka's, I've found, tends to roll high, so if you like and have them on hand, you can roll physical dice, or I can roll physical dice for you. Ideally, under High Risk, getting two 20's before getting two of another bracket should statistically be near impossible, but in a spread of around 5 rolls (at which point you will have landed in at least one bracket) there is in fact a decent chance to get ONE natural 20, thus, unless you do in fact want to effective perma your character, Ultra High Risk is in fact, actually, VERY high risk.
