Intelligent. Graceful. Sociable. These are words that describe Amanda Kaczynski, one of the newest transfers to the infamous Primrose_Academy. At her old school, Pumpernickel Preperatory School, she was the social butterfly, the gifted athlete, and the honor roll scholar. How does she do it? She literally lives at the school. An exchange student from Eastern Europe (specifically Poland), she's fully bilingual, and as a special provision of her transfer is boarded at the school itself. At a place like Pumpernickel Prep, that's not a problem at all. At a place like Primrose, where predators roam the halls at will, and an unwary student is an easy meal, that's slightly less of a boon, and much more of a life threatening problem. Somehow, Amanda has survived until now.
How she does it is a mystery. Does she physically evade the predators? Does she charm them into not eating her? Or does she manipulate them into going after the other students? Nobody really knows, only that she has several friends in the predatory circles, and a lifespan that is measured in something longer than minutes or hours.
Whatever else Amanda might have been, now she's gone. Her lifespan ended up being measured in months, but during the
Primrose_Academy Spring Fling, Lexanna took offense to an imagined slight, and sent the girl to a sticky end inside her body. And she had been doing so well, too.
