Physiology
Amber has grown to be a great-elf, towering over most with her extreme size and strength. Great-elves have a limited capacity for magic, as their bodies have a hard time keeping mana. Most great-elves waste most of the mana they naturally receive without thinking. Great-elves have to gain most mana reserves through other sources like eating and drinking, or sometimes through being in highly attuned areas.
Very large compared to most elves, the Great-elves are usually born from a line of magically infused gestation - growing vastly after they are born. They eventually turn into massive, behemoths of elven kind.

Amber herself has an incredible amount of strength - able to lift people with one hand, and she does that quite frequently.

Life
Amber isn't incredibly attached to her duties as a Temple Maiden - the very reason she is a great-elf is a part of tradition as her sworn-by-birth duties in the Temple.

She named herself Amber, as a way to detach herself from the temple, and from her old life. Did she fully escape, let loose into the world..? She doesn't really know, yet. She's been away from the temple for weeks now, and nobody's come after her.
Amber would honestly prefer to life a city life: something a little more daring, bold, and a bit extreme! There's only one problem: despite all that exterior punky shell that she puts on, she's kind of a giggly dork.

Amber gets a bit misunderstood because of her size, her usual casual wear and appearance, and the fact she's eaten a few people.. but she's totally a nice girl. At least, she doesn't think so - but for anyone who's talked to her for more than a few minutes it's pretty clear that she's super cutesy with everything she does.
She might look a bit punky, but in reality she's just trying to set herself apart from her family, religious duties, and her life in exchange for a new life of her own making.
