At first glance, Amelia looks like a timid yet gentle young lady who has a fondness for videogames - especially Sonic the Hedgehog. But beneath that soft exterior is a psychotic serial killer who has managed to remain at large thanks to her hidden supernatural powers.

These abilities stem from the demon known as Norikae, an entity that either hides inside her body, or in electronic devices. If you end up finding yourself targeted, you better start praying. It's the only thing you can do, really.

Backstory

Like most people who would grow up to do something terrible, Amelia had a rough childhood. She lived alone with her mother, who often neglected her or snapped at her, while also dealing with bullying when outside of her home. As such, her mind was left in a fragile state and her only safe place was the GameCube she got as a Christmas gift. But eventually, her life would begin to change in the most unexpected way possible, starting with a crystal necklace.

One day, her mother would buy a necklace made of fake gold with a orange gem as the centerpiece and bring it home. Little did she know that this necklace was inhabited by a demon known as Norikae, who was forced to hide inside of the gemstone due to them losing power and growing weak over the years. Choosing to remain silent and assess their situation, Nori quietly observed the life of Amelia and her mother for a few days, and realized that they could take advantage of its current state to regain their lost power.

It began with Norikae influencing the mother to place the necklace on top of the GameCube, which allowed them to inhabit it. Altering code was easy for a demon such as them, so they decided to use Amelia's love for videogames to persuade her into joining their side. They began by altering her copy of Sonic Mega Collection, creating new levels while also communicating with her via the Sonic character. This natural drew Amelia in, who mistakengly thought she had unlocked secret content hidden behind certain conditions.

The demon continued to keep a friendly stance with her, slowly gaining her trust before making their move. One day, they once again manifested as Sonic, except this time they were standing in front of a pitch-black background. "You hate her, don't you?" Norikae offered Amelia a way to a better life, and she accepted, being only a troubled child desperate for something better at the time. Their instructions were simple - lure the mother into Amelia's room and then hide. The plan worked, and the mother found herself standing in front of her daughter's TV, which was the demon's ideal time to strike.

A series of flashing lights and colors appeared on the screen, drawing the mother closer until she was suddenly pulled inside the TV. Helpless and alone, she became Norikae's first victim in ages, using Sonic's form to murder her and devour her soul, converting it into power. This was the start of Amelia's alliance with the demon, who promised to protect her and gift her power beyond power if she continued to aid them in collecting souls. Hoping to escape the hopelessness of her current life, she accepted.

Over the following years, Norikae would raise her to become a bloodthirsty killer so that she would continue to collect souls that would serve as fuel for their power. However, something unexpected happened - the demon grew attached to Amelia, seeing her as their own child and wanting to see her grow stronger. The sentiment appeared to be mutual as well, with Amelia seeing Nori as her real family. For this reason, the demon continued to gift her supernatural powers that would allow her to remain undiscovered, even allowing her to act on her own sadistic impulses sometimes. Amelia is no longer the innocent girl she once was. If you become her next target, you better start praying. It's the only thing you can do, really.
