Amelia was born with a birth defect that left her arms undeveloped. As a result, Amelia has developed a surprising level of flexibility and dexterity in her feet and legs in general, along with a superb sense of balance.

In general, Amelia can be found wearing slacks or pants of some sort to avoid embarrassing situations, and always barefoot. She is also commonly seen in a buttondown shirt and tie. Under more casual circumstances, she may be seen in a T-shirt and sweats.
When she's out shopping with friends, she may also be wearing a belly pack, to carry her money and ID. No matter what she may be wearing, Amelia is always barefoot and and has her sleeves euther tied off or sewn shut just below the ends of her "arms".

Amelia is headstrong, stubborn and determined not to be seen as handcapped or pitiable. As such, she seems deadset on proving others wrong about what she can or cannot do. Often mastering a given task even better than most people with hands. She enjoys cross stitch and can do basic sewing and mending. A loer of asian cuisine, Amelia has no problem eating with fork and knife, spoon, or even using chopsticks. She loves a good card game among friends, or a round of hackeysack. As a professional, Amelia is a legal and medical transcriptionist, typing on her laptop at over 107 words per minute. Amelia has also taken the time to learn to play both Tenor Saxophone and guitar. She currently plays sax for a local jazz troupe, while her guitar work is limited to solo work tending towards flamenco, jazz and classic rock.

Amelia has a unique view of things and tends not to acknowledge her own disability with the exception of carrying things or tying foot gear such as skates. She also tends not to acknowledge others who repeatedly bring up her disability. Amelia is the sort that strives to be independant, not wanting to rely on others for anything if she can help it. Even with regards to getting dressed, Amelia even manages to put on her bra, fasten her buttons, and knot her tie properly. About the only thing she can't do is tuck in her shirt. Irregardless, she will do her best to try before concieding to need help with something.

One might ask what sucha girl might be doing at a place like the park, simple really when you consider her personality. Someone simply said that someone like her would be unable to make there own out here, so of course, the stubborn girl set out to prove them wrong.
