About average in size for a lamia her age Amyrja is pretty happy where she is in live after finally leaving her hometown and moving to the big city to attend university and study.
While she does very much want to study, she's also looking forward to being out from her parent's nest. Things had started to get a little claustrophobic both figuratively and literally with her parents and two siblings living in the same rather small house.
Her decision to go study was also a controversial one, although ever since their daughter had started school and turning out to be quite clever with the ability to apply herself to studying, it had seemed inevitable that she would be pursuing something a little more ambitious than the dead end jobs her parents work.
Not that she judged her parents, her dad was a skilled mechanic and her mother had worked in customer service all her live, which definitely wasn't an easy job either. However with them hardly earning enough to make ends meet, what with 3 growing lamia kids to feed to avoid unfortunate incidents with other kids winding up devoured.
There just weren't that many subjects in their small town and they were disliked enough already, even if they could be brought back after a fashion wth the recent innovation of reformation technology (which was still unreliable, expensive and slow).

Be that as it may, Amyrja is finally free from the confines of her parents house and the village alltogether. She has moved into a dorm room, glad about not having to share (so far). She finally has a moderate amount of privacy and nobody judging her if she turns up with a wiggling, struggling bulge in her tail (or several). Not to mention the parties people were throwing at the weekend.
It was hard not to let herself get completely carried away and neglet her studies, but the looming threat of an ever increasing debt the longer she takes to get her degree is enough motivation to keep her going. Unlike a lot of the other students she doesn't come from money and people keep telling her to take some kind of part time job to give herself a little more allowance.
She has tried out several of these side jobs, but hasn't managed to last long in any of them. Her discipline slacking a little bit in that regard.

In summary, Amyrja is a young lamia enjoying her first time living by herself. (Solo dorm room)
She hasn't made many friends yet, but enjoys partying and indulging herself when it comes to vore.
Trying to balance her responsibilities with her new freedom has been difficult, but she's managing so far.
