Anastacia

Space! The setting of all sorts of dramatic adventures, exciting discoveries, and epic battles! At least, that's what most entertainment media would have you believe. In truth, while those things do happen, far more common are the people simply trying to live and work. Anastacia is the captain and usually sole crewmember (she's not above hiring help if she absolutely needs it) of the merchant and shipping vessel October's Pride.



Her life boils down to short stays in assorted spacedocks and starports, broken up by trips of varying length floating through infinity. Granted, it's not so much "floating" as "gravometric warpjump", but....you know, travel. Most of the ship's functions are automated, simply watched over and tweaked from her place in the control center. So Ana gets a whole lot of time to herself. Playing virtual games, watching holodramas, browsing the infonet. She dresses casually, even when off her ship. Sneakers, shorts, a loose shirt, and a dogtag with identification. As you may notice, the low gravity when in transit does fun things to her anatomy.

There are things to worry about though. Aliens, pirate raiders, corrupt security forces. So both she and her ship are armed! Well, kind of. The October has a single dorsal plasma turret and a surprisingly high-grade sensor package...enough to give most attackers a nasty surprise! She hopes. For personal defense she has a basic blaster, kept either close at hand on the ship or in a belt on her waist when off it. Not every port is reputable, after all!

Ana is twenty-six years old, five foot eight, with slightly messy raven black hair and dark blue eyes. Her skin is extremely pale, thanks to very little time spent in natural sunlight....or under strange suns.
