Before the Celestial
Marie was born to a wealthy kingdom. On a world blessed with magic and wonderful life. The creatures that many worlds wrote stories of existed as common commonly as cats and dogs on earth. Griffons, sphinxes, driders, and lamia just to name a few. The human like creatures there were known as Innovators. They were the most gifted in the realm of magics. They races of their world live in harmonious balance and peace. It was a wonderful place to live where balance was understood and respected. Though some were stronger and more skilled than others, they never used their power to bring harm or misfortune. Unfortunately, peace on any world it seems, can not last forever...

The War of her World
A race of demons had arrived to enslave and steal the magic of the people of her world. A few brave souls stood to resist the demons but they were quickly overpowered and the world was brought to the very brink of annihilation. As the demons destroyed and pillaged the world of it's resources and magics, they grew ever stronger.
The few tribes of beings that had escaped had been driven into hiding. Constantly moving to avoid detection and capture. Upon their final refuge the demons had at last found the last of the Innovators, their Princess included. Stepping out to face the incoming Army she pleaded with them to spare her people in exchange for the vast power she possessed. They simply laughed and told her that her "sacrifice" would not spare her people but only buy them few short minutes as she would be taken first. Tears to her eyes she closed her hands and prayed. Prayed to her ancestors. To the heavens. To the angel. To the gods. Any that might hear and answer her prayer. She never knew which had answered her plea for help...only that it had come just when it needed.

The Birth of the Celesial Knight
A bright light would blind the approaching army a crash of energy and power and there among the light that would slowly dim leaving only a figure clad In armor, a sword at her side that seemed to be made of pure light. Her eyes peaceful yet focused on the charging demons. Once again her voice spoke and asked her people he spared. But this was not an offer of sacrifice. This was an offer of mercy. For should they abandon their attacks she would let them leave in peace. Naturally they laughed as the woman spoke. 'What could one warrior do against an army' they thought. How wrong they were. For as the light behind her faded more beings would be revealed. Angels. An army between them and her people. Few can forget the looks of purest fear on the faces of the demons as they saw the sight before them. Many stopping dead in their charge as the winged warriors stood ready behind the wingless one. For even with all the power they had gained, they still cowered before the light of the celestials before them. The battle was quickly ended, and the demons not obliterated in battle were quickly banished. The war had finally come to an end.

After the War
With things finally at their end and the need for a hero now passed it was time for peace to resume. However such a thing does not come without a price. Marie had given her life to acquire the power to save her world. To recieve the blessing was something only an angel could do and thus did she become. Though in this new form she would be given now a chance to explore the universe. Dimensional worlds before her in a way she could never do in her life. Though the battle was over, the adventure was beginning anew...in the Nexus.
