Personality:
Meagan is friendly, cheerful, and outgoing. She cultivates a trusting and harmless demeanor, often far more innocent and currious as opposed to seeming dangerous; don't be fooled however, as she is an opportunistic omnivore. She is always hungry and thus, always eating whatever happens to be available and off-guard; be it fruit, fish, small animals like squirrels and foxes, or larger prey roughly human-sized or smaller. Sure, she's had some pretty good friends; but when they're not paying attention, they're just as nutritious as anything else she might eat. It's nothing personal, and she tries to be nice about the whole digestion thing; but for a Stilt-walker, everything feeds something else, so you might as well be feeding them, it's just the natural order of things.


General Description and Anatomy:
Ank'tolakrih, or Meagan as she prefers when being addressed in a human tongue, is of a rather curious species, the dorae consavis, also known as a snapping maiden. Classified as demi-humans, they are a rather unique arrangement of features. Bipedal lifeforms with only two limbs, With a roughly human appearance from the waist up, with the exception of the arms. Below the elbow, her "arms" resemble the lowerl legs of a rather large ostrich; complete with grasping tridactyl feet and large, sharp, black claws capable of easily rending flesh. Her tawny colored skin becomes rather tough and leathery around her lower limbs. Her auburn hair and silver eyes give her face a sort of shiny and bright expression to it.

Below Meagan's waist is an enourmous set of reptilian like jaws. The four foot long tongue from those jaws is both prehensile and tubelar. With it, she can grab fruit or small animals from the lower branches of trees, and suck water and other fluids through it like a straw. This lower set of jaws has rows of sharpt teeth, especially some upper and lower fangs which protrude slightly from the lips when the jaws are closed. The Nostril at the tip of the lower snout is highly sensitive and enables Meagan to effictively track her prey when she's out hunting. It should also be noted that the flesh covering the jaws is quite soft and very elastic, alowing it to stretched much like a pelican's beak to entrap larger prey. Thanks to thick, viscous saliva, lips that seal tightly together, and teeth which seem to have properties similar to tephlon, the entire lower maw can infact act as an extension of Megan's stomach to allow digestion of prey too big to be swallowed into her belly, but small enough to fit into her lower jaws.

This species has an extrodinary sense of balance , due in part to their brains resting in their chest and not in their skulls. Other than ears, eyes, human mouth, and a nostril-less nose, Megan's skull is mainly composed of very dense, solid bone. The extra bone mass not only makes the skull an effective weapon in emergencies, but allows it to act as a counter-weight for the rest of her body to balance and pivot at the shoulders. It is even possible for her species to survive without their heads, which will regenerate of the course of several weeks much like a small lizards tail can be cut and regrown again later.

Thanks to their well-balanced bodies, these creatures can move with surprising swiftness and agility. When trying to flee or chase down prey, they can sustain speeds of over 42 mph for a distance of approximately three miles. They can jump vetrtically nearly twelve feet off the ground and with their grasping claws, hang onto branches and swing through trees. In trying to make a kill or when defending themsleves, the dorae consavis is capable of delivering powerful kicks with their arms as well as slashing with claws, a heavy and devastating headbutt, or by clamping with a deadly bite force of nearly 83psi, human bone breaks at forces above 8psi.

With the exception of the face, head of the dorae consavis is largely ornamental and for the most part simply serves as a counterbalance for the rest of the body. Only the mouth, facial muscles and eyes are functional. The human nose lacks any nostrils and the ears are just growths of cartilage, the real nose is the snout beneath her body and her actual ears are circular membranes roughly where her outer thighs would be if she had them. Her emerald green eyes have cross-hair like pupils which result in poor vision when she gets excited. During such times, she'll rely mainly on her sense of smell to track prey. The human mouth is more than capable of ingesting food and fluids, these creatures mainly use their human mouths soley to communicate with creatures of other species. The Dorae Consavi communicate among other creatures using their humanoid mouths, and communicate with eachither using a their lower mouths and a language of hisses, snarls, growls, snorts and grunts. As mentioned earlier, their brain resides in the chest cavity, opposite the heart so their skulls are mostly solid bone and very heavy. Deep, chocolate colored hair and caramel tanned skin completes the look.

Their methods of mating and reproduction are a complete mystery as these creatures appear to have no obvious genitals or sex organs. No young have ever been seen so the rearing of young is also an undocumented mystery, mysteries this species seem to guard most fastidiously. Intelligent creatures, their friendly and concerned facial expressions often bely their opportunistic nature. Being very social creatures, they try to associate with a wide variety of other creatures, essentially lining up a readily available supply of food during lean periods. When food and friend, otherwise known as food, become in short supply, the dorae consavis will hunt for their meals. Most often they will seek lone prey they can easily ambush and overpower, however they are more than willing to chase down a meal if necessary as well.
