So what is there that could be said about Ann, asides from that she's working as a secretary/receptionist for the omnious Dream_Forge. Well, let's see, her parents were a factory worker and a shopgirl and she's got a younger brother who works as a mechanic. Her childhood wasn't particularly good or bad, even though it was improtant for her parents that there always was enough money for her to concentrate on school so she wouldn't nescessarily have to work instead of using her time to learn, like every kid she didn't really enjoy learning that much, but she knew that it was important since she wanted to get a better job than her parents had. With her average grades she managed to get to college without any further troubles and she finished school with good grades. Her parents were proud of their daughter, of course they were proud of her brother, too, but he just wasn't as clever as his sister.
So you may wonder how it came that she ended up working 'only' as secretary, sitting at her desk in the DF-lobby most of the time, occasionally meeting someone who accidently stubmles into the strange building. Well, it would take too long to tell the entire story and Ann would be pretty upset if people knew that she got her job after meeting Caro in a club with the result that she went to Caro's apartment in the DF-building resulting with the usual ending when Caro likes someone, but before things got really bad for Ann, Caro stubled into Berenike who had an interesting talk with the struggling Ann, offering her a well payed job in the company plus a nifty demonic insurance sponsored by Balyndis saying tha as long as she'd be working for the company she wouldn't have to suffer from dying permanently. So what's the catch you may wonder, "Just look at the other employees." Ann would answer.
But honestly, it's not a bad job most of the time, well, if you manage to avoid certain other employees. She even got an apartment in the building and nobody ever asks her about the days she isn't at work as long as the office stuff is done and she manages to keep the every-day work away from Berenike.
On a sidenote, this character is almost entirely prey.
