Annilease Polyander is someone who is best described as "the mad scientist trope on estrogen and steroids with a pinch of sadism." She spends large portions of her time making torture devices while she stews over plans to rule the Nexus. What these plans tend to involve is annoying/tormenting the populace until they agree to crown her empress. Other times, she just gets bored and does something to the people of the Nexus. She has a small standing army of robots, but they're meant more for menial tasks, transportation of materials, or being tools of her sadistic will.So, yeah, she may be sadistic, but she feels violent take-over is too impersonal for her cruel tastes.
She developed her sadistic tendencies because she was bullied in school, yada yada, whatever. The interesting thing is how she became the villainess she is now. It all started with a interest in mechanics in high school. She did pretty well in High School, but she found that her dreams of building machines and inventing were not shared by her peers or her parents. In fact, her parents attempted to dissuade her, and lead her towards a more "feminine" career, thinking she'd be happier there. She being the rebellious youth she was, she rejected these suggestions, and found she did in fact love working with cars and like. Still, her parents persisted, until she eventually got incredibily frustrated, and moved to a nearby apartment so she could still finish high school when she turned 18. She made a living as a mechanic for a few years, until she came up with a way to fulfill her carnal desires and still work with machines, so she fled to an ancestral castle, and began work on torture devices to sell over the internet. One day, doing some research, she accidentally created a portal to the Nexus, so she settled in this new oppurtunity filled realm, and the rest is history.
Annilease is a switch who's prey same-size, pred to micros, and prey to macros. So, prey leaning, pretty much, but micros beware! In pred/dom situations, she will torment you for a while before she does any nomming of any sort.
