Simply she is the Sea Guardian that has decided Isolation sucks and is found on the beach most days, and for the brave or just lucky they meet her. Besides that, she is more than happy to open her body to whomever is the boy, or even girl to get to her. and claim her. And well unlike normal pokemon needing to be captured she rather you claim her than throw a stupid ball. And if you do she will make sure that ball hits you in the head instead. Too many dumb trainers don't know how to throw the ball and it hurts when it heads one's head.

Living spaces - Yes she had living spaces instead of being something to harm. She has a section of her stomach set aside for whomever comes to her and is in her stomach. They are safe in there. IF she is in her primary form. If in secondary. Her stomach is not safe at all. Namely cause there isn't enough room in her stomach to section off. Unless she is in small primary form which will have the same space inside.
Intestines. Yes her intestines are a living space, though you will be covered in goo that will keep yoy clean for your stay But you are free to go from her small to her rectum, and rectum to her small, so enjoy.
