Espers have long been a favorite topic amongst conspiracy theorists, sci-fi fans, and internet forumgoers, yet most agree that there is no scientific basis for their existence. Psychic powers are a concept borne of fantasy, far removed from the common sense that rules over our day-to-day life. There simply is no sense to the idea that a brain, an organ that simply processes information, could somehow exert force at a distance, or bend the rules of physics with only the meager resources available to a human body. What would it do, speed through a bunch of math so quickly that reality gets confused? In short, there can be no such thing as a telekinetic esper.

Meet Aoi, an esper girl with telekinetic abilities.

She's well aware that she should not exist, but that hasn't stopped her from doing it anyway. Despite existing as a living insult to physics, Aoi is a very polite girl with a quiet personality. From a young age, she's learned that a temper tends to be a troublesome thing when one is powerful enough to level a city block with a tantrum; thus, she tends to avoid being particularly outward with her emotions. Aoi will usually attempt to retreat from stressful situations, and keeps a habit of daily meditation to help her deal with negative feelings.

Despite this reserved demeanor, Aoi is far from an inhuman robot. She's always had a bit of trouble making friends, so she tends to follow kind extroverts like a lost puppy. In particular, she tends to get along great with 'big sister' types; those who are naturally protective and willing to give advice to a girl who just wants to fit in. However, she has spent most of her twenty-one years of life ostracized by her fellows due to unfounded rumors about her powers.

Admittedly, not all the rumors were completely baseless. Aoi has one quirk in particular that has heavily contributed to her poor social standing. In normal humans, the brain is the largest consumer of energy; for an esper, the effect is orders of magnitude greater. Aoi's body burns calories many times faster than the average girl her age; she literally eats girls whole and returns to her normal thin figure in just a few days, no matter how much fat she might put on from a meal.

Her classmates were never scared of being eaten, they were just jealous that she never got fat.
