"Hey you, fight me!" A typical line you might hear coming from Aoi, who is an avid practitioner of the various forms of martial arts the world has to offer. She hopes to hone her skills so as to never lose a fight, at least, not to a man anyway. So you'll often see her picking fights with random people she thinks look tough, only to be reprimanded for her actions by her Sensei whenever she returns to the dojo. Being a girl 16 (18 if it matters to you) years of age, she may seem inexperienced or perhaps even even fragile in build, but don't take her looks for granted, this young woman is banned from 13 different regional tournaments for good reason. Mostly because she accidentally beat her opponent so badly that even after they fell unconscious she had yet to notice she'd won the fight. Another time she broke 3 of a competitor's ribs before their match started because he kept mocking her for being a girl. Best save yourself the trouble by not underestimating her. Because of these bans, Aoi has few options to really test herself and her skills against competent opponents and, to encourage others to step up and improve themselves to give her any challenge, she announced she'd only marry someone if they were able to beat her in a match. Most of the guys in her school took up practice after this, half of which gave up soon after, much to Aoi's annoyance. She intends to stick true to her word though, right down to the last letter of it. To be precise, these were; "I'll spend the rest of my life with whoever manages to defeat me!" Though she only takes this seriously if someone makes the challenge with this as a stipulation. Despite her words, Aoi's preference is actually for girls. She's aware that the guys in her school are head over heels for her and many of the other girls that attend, though she has no interest in any of them. This only adds to her determination to get a good challenge however, as it means she has to constantly improve to avoid the risk of ending up together with a man for the rest of her life. What does she have against men? Well, other than the fact she just likes girls romantically, she hates that most men will see her feminine form and think less of her as a martial artist as a result, simply because she's a girl. Any time a man looks down on her she feels the need to prove them wrong and beat them at whatever it is they believe themselve to be better than her at. It lights a fire inside her and the more the issue is pushed, the angrier she gets, until she's proven she is the better at that subject. To this end, Aoi is well versed in a large array of skills simply because she's had to learn so many to be able to prove herself to those around her. Need a tyre changed? Aoi can do it. Want a tree felled? She'll punch it until it falls. Need someone to wrestle an Aligator? She actually has yet to do this one, but she'd be willing to prove she can. These are just a few examples of things Aoi has managed to learn how to do (except the Aligator thing, she has yet to learn that one) and there are many, many more as well. Probably the most notable thing about her capabilities, would be that she could lift a 2 tonne boulder and walk around with it, albeit slowly, without too much issue. The only time she did this was when she got a little bit too angry when her brother accidentally walked in on her in the bath and she planned to use it to flatten him with... Her Sensei knocked her out on this occasion and tied her to the boulder until she calmed down... which lasted 2 days. Oh yes, her Sensei? That would be one of only 3 people she has ever lost a match to and the only one she has yet to win against. He'd also happen be her father. A laid back, carefree man with very a large degree of experience. Usually he's content to let Aoi and her brother do as they please, though sometimes the siblings do go a little too far even for his sense of humour. There's probably only one thing that'll get him mad, which would be messing with his family. Anyone who hurts his children, physically or emotionally, without good cause, will find themselves on the wrong end of his fist, foot or occasionally head. As stated, Aoi is a 16 (or 18) year old girl with a small, slender frame to her body. She stands at only 5 feet tall, which does make her being taken seriously a little harder, the same with not being looked down at. Her petite size and build often having people mistake her for a younger girl than she is. Aoi sports long black hair almost always tied up into yaji hair buns over which are tied small pieces of white silk cloth. The only times she does not wear her hair like this are either when she sleeps or during formal events, at which times she lets it hang loose down to the center of her upper back. She'll often have other accessories tied to her buns as well, with the cloths tied using golden thread near exclusively. Her eyes a soft yet dull grey-blue, while her overall face has softer edges and a youthful, pleasant look to it. Aoi doesn't wear make-up, thinking it'll only get smudged in a fight anyway, so why bother putting it on to begin with? Aoi's clothes vary depending on her location or situation. In her everyday life, she likes to dress in her training attire, consisting of a black and white qipao with golden and red accents, a black obi she has around her middle tied on with a red thread, and a pair of black trousers which also sport golden accents. This outfit is made entirely of silk which, though impractical in a fight, alsway feels nice when she wears it. Why it's like this is her father didn't initially intend on her being the one to practice martial arts and figered if she wanted to train, she might as well look elegant while doing so. When sleeping, she'll wear a set of loose fitting blue pajamas and while at school or formal events she'll wear a blue and white, or red and white summer dress, depending on her mood at the time. If you see the red one, she's probably not going to put up with any irritations that day. Her classmates have all learned to stay away from her when she shows up to school in that dress. The only other outfits she'll wear would be either a towel when getting ready to take a bath or getting out of one, a white dressing gown with a bunny eared hood when relaxing after a bath, or a blue one-piece swin suit when going swimming. You'll almost never catch her in just her underwear though if you do, expect a 2 tonne boulder in your near future.
