Since this is a bio, I'll just tell you what you need to know, instead of a whole story.
Bael grew up as a little kid in a world dominated almost wholly by Elves, land formations, creatures, materials, most of it was very different and exotic compared to Earth. His people, just like any other tried to make do, and the one big difference about his species on his own planet, was that they were physically ageless. At the age of 150, he still looked the same as he did at about 25. Despite being ageless in this way, they are still susceptible to sicknesses.
At a young age, he made a good friend; a girl who was upper class. They hung out together, and she enjoyed him sneaking her out and about, and he enjoyed her taking him to her fancy home. As time passed they grew apart, she went off and did her own thing while he joined the military for a while. They still hung out, but even though they secretly had feelings for each other, it never blossomed.
Contrary to what might be expected, there wasn't a great deal of magic in his world. However, during one particular war he was in, a spell was cast, and engulfed a great deal of soldiers. Most were killed and ripped apart, but he was transported through it, and combined with dimensional instability of the particular area in space-time he was sent accidentally to Felarya. These Felaryan adventures lasted about a hundred years, where he was rescued by one friend, and eventually made many more. Bael discovered he had a talent for magic in this dangerous land he couldn't seem to escape, and so upon entering the Mage's Dome, the academy and guild, he spent his 100 or so years rising to the rank of an Archmage, and gained some popularity for his outspoken defense for the fair treatment of Nekos. Without them, Negav would never be what it is to this day.
He arrived in the park due to a common occurrence in felarya, a vanishing land, combined with a dimensional pocket storm, sent him walking straight into The Park. The Vanishing Land instability was subtle, the trees and foliage looked almost identical, and even felt similar. However, when he realized what happened, it was too late. Luckily, Bael was carrying some of his things with him to a friend's facility at the time, and so upon arriving in the park he had some treasures of Felarya with him. These treasures, combined with his knowledge have helped him recreate a home with vast riches that felarya is known for. The Ascarlin Crystal.
Now he just simply resides in the park, spending most of his time researching the area, and writing, making potions and such. He is slowly rebuilding a circle of friends, and dealing with the hole left in him by the emptiness felt from loosing family in two worlds. It his his desire to stay in The Park though, and hopefully find the right girl for him. Again.
