A prominent and deadly Knight of great skill from Acadia. She is boastful and cocky, for good reason too.
"I'm most renown for my swordplay...but there's a certain talent that I only display when the lights are out and my sword is sheathed."
Born to a shepherdess mother and a farmer father, Atlantica Benidicci never looked to be destined for greatness as with most peasant girls. At most her parents simply believed she'd grow up to follow in their footsteps. That or die a horrible death at the claws of monsters or at the hands of bandits lurking the countryside. But as luck would have it, it seemed their daughter had an almost natural knack for handling weapons and while tending the crops, she could often be seen spinning the hoe as if it was a spear. Long after the daily farmwork was done she could be spied in the fields, practicing her "sword" handling with a stick. Playful childhood antics perhaps but it was a sign of things to come.
At the age of 14, her families homestead was raided by a small robber band operating out of the nearby ruins. Atlantica, angered that they dared to threaten her family, took her fathers rusty longsword and rushed out to challenge them. By the time the local militia arrived on the scene, they found a bloodied Atlantica, clutching her sword and surrounded by the corpses of the bandits. It was her first taste of true battle, and she loved it. But the poor girl was still shell-shocked from the battle that she didn't realise her own family's loss, something perhaps for the best. When the local Knight arrived, she heard the story told and took the young girl with her, better to serve herself and put her skills to use than flounder in an orphanage. Taken to the capital, she was presented to the Queen who saw much potential in her and she was promptly squired by the Knight and began her training.
Atlantica showed a natural affinity for combat and was a devoted student. However while she eagerly picked up combat techniques....she was less keen on the lessons of humility and other knightly virtues. While seemingly learning them, she did not take them to heart. However her skill as a warrior and generally amiable personality meant her tutors to turned a blind eye to her negligence of Knightly studies and knighted her at the young age of 18. After all it's not as if most knights adhered to such rigid doctrine, and it was skilled warriors the kingdom needed most of all.
In short time she worked her way up the ranks and became one of the Queen's most trusted Knights and a very close friend of Princess Isara. Now at 21, she has a reputation throughout Acadia for being one of the greatest warriors in the land. Though...she also has a different sort of reputation as a raunchy, carefree, cocky and some would say lustful girl. Nobody says it to her face and they are mostly rumors of course. The only way one would be able to confirm such rumors is to meet her in person, something many have had the pleasure of doing.

The Hedge Knight
For one reason or another Atlantica leaves the service of Acadia and wanders the world as a Knight without a master, getting involved in many different adventures. Despite enjoying the thrill and uncertainty that comes with such daily adventure, she yearns again for someone to pledge her sword to. As luck would have it, she soon comes across one such person seeking a Knight and just maybe Atlantica's reputation follows after her...(Best suited for long-term story RP. Bonus points for characters of royalty.)
