Avaleigh enjoys spending her time at a somewhat moderate distance from others. The Mer tends to internalize a lot of her feelings,
instead of lashing outward. She tends to spend a lot of her time thinking, and her mind is well suited to pertain stacks of detail
for long periods of time with her fantastic memory. When something makes an impression on her, its because she thought about it
first.
At a young age, her parents were killed by a small group of shark people. From there on she was put with another family - but she
wanted her family, so she drifted apart. Tried harder to fit in, only to realize she was in danger of acting the same way as those
who killed her parents. From there on she took a loner-approach.
What she didn't realize is those shark-boys acted against the will of their own people, and the incident caused diplomatic tensions
she was unaware of...given that she was a child. She didn't care about any societal or political affair, however, and the damage
was already done.
She's managed to find ways to cope and deal with the loss since then, but it has changed her habits, her hobbies, how she interacts
with those around her, and how she prefers to look. She finds herself attracted to the gothic style, and is skilled with art and
logic both. She is very much capable of affection, but finds it difficult to get to that point in any relationship.
