"Oh, him? Oh, don't mind him. He won't be around long..."

And those words, bizarrely, convey a sense of relief to whoever she's speaking to - far better to encounter her with a guest than without.

Avida, as her pointy hat and black dress might indicate, is a witch - and not one of your modern "blessed be" cavorting-in-the-moonlight types, either - and old-school, Grimm's Tales style practitioner of dark and twisted magics. None can say how long she's been around, but she certainly doesn't look a day over 25 despite surely having lived far more than one lifetime.

As with all things, however, this comes with a cost - and woe betide anyone she meets when the time comes for her to raise the necessary capital. Those who fall victim to her gluttony face a long stay inside her, powerless to escape from whatever fate she has in store for them. Perhaps she'll merely drain them a little, or maybe she'll claim them completely - some people, it is said, are still alive in there in some form, having been give pride of place as part of her curves.

In the meantime, she still gets up to the usual witchy stuff - as well as the usual rabbity stuff. Such as making more rabbits. She likes to combine the two.
