Azmodania was one of the Knights of Hell decommissioned by the angels in their crusade to "protect humanity." Unfortunately for those angels, her underlings worked tirelessly to re-assemble her pieces. It only took them a few hundred centuries before their leader was back intact. Most beings would be grateful for being saved from an eternity of being virtually dead. Azmodania is not most beings.

No, instead of thanking them or acting grateful, she devoured the remnants of her garrison, drank the blood from their vessels and then consumed their souls. In her defence, she was feeling quite peckish after not eating for seven hundred years! Now, though, one will find this demon is just as unruly and has as little regard for authority as she did in her first run at life.

As for her job in the underworld hierarchy, Azmodania is one of many freelance type demons that does what she pleases and does it very well. She specialises in torturing the damned and revels in each ounce of pain she can cause. Agony and despair are her best friends and she spends a lot of time with both of them.
