Barriss is now alive again, thanks to Master Secura who, after travelling under fake name, reached her own tomb, and the one of the Padawan. Using her immense power, Aayla offered to Barriss another chance to live, but only for an even closer freind. Barriss knows that for Aayla she is and will always be a traitor, but maybe, the one who asked...has still hopes for her.
