Most people, when they think of a barbarian, usually think of someone of above average height with a form built of muscle. They're not wrong about their thoughts, especially for those coming of the ghoul tribes, like Basdia. Ghouls are the descendants of vampires, considered a demon and undead but possess very high physical prowess and acute intelligence because of their lineage. This has allowed the ghoul tribes to survive despite being mostly known as primitive beings. Looked down upon by their goddess, the ghoulds stay faithful to their roots, never becoming truly civilized except for a select few. Ghouls have a high resistance to unholy and death magics, while still being relatively average in defense against light and holy magics. The downside to this is that the ghouls cannot be healed by holy or lgiht magic and must be healed by a shamaness with dark, death, or nature magic. The ghouls have a unique culture in that regular females are immediately pressed into the pursuit of knowledge as shamaness', while the shemales and herms are pressed into service as barbarians, all from their culture. Ghouls have above average height, much like amazons, and participate in ritualistic traditions. This can include the sacrifice of monsters to appease their goddess. Ghouls live for an unusual amount of time, much like elves and other magical races, due to their bloodline, ghouls can live anywhere between 450 years old all the way up to the mid-700s, depending on their health. This creates a heirarchy in their tribes consisting of the younger, and the elders. The olders are like a large council who guides the acting chieftain and tribe heads. These elders are important to them, and are respected greatly. Ghouls never lose their middle-aged adult form, lasting them all the way to death, with some exceptions being from weight gain to children bearing.
The ghouls are a direct rival to the orcs, as they were made to be completely opposite of them, as well as their gods are rivals. Most humanoid species are tolerant or even highly accepting of ghouls in the western country, but are outright slaughtered in the eastern country, as their leaders are afraid of the ghouls' might, and their descendance of vampires. The ghouls are friendly towards demi-humans, anthroes, and most other civilized races.
Now, onto the star of the show, Basdia, who is a nearly-giantess ghoul who is practically all muscle, with the addition of being intelligent. She is the retired war chieftain of the ghoul tribes, and currently an S-Rank adventurer. The world is extremely hard pressed to find another barbarian as pwoerful as she is, and the fights that she does, she enjoys with great splendor. Working herself to a sweat over a fight before chowing down on her opponent is one of her favorite passtimes. Dungeon clearing is prominent for her, and she does a lot of high-ranking reuqests on the board. Basdia is a very popular woman within the western cities, and has had numerous attempts on her live by eastern assassins, including a rival S-class fight, of which she came out with a squirming gut. The eastern federation has since then halted its attempts. Basdia sometimes travels with companions, and isn't greedy when it comes to spoils among her comrades.
