Beetle

A murderous 9-feet-tall monster vaguely resembling an armored beetle.

Possibly the guardian of a sacred place or object, or perhaps a spiritual creature that can be summoned with powerful spells or offerings to its shrine.

Maybe it is the result of some MAAAD SCIEEENCE instead and right now it is sleeping in the ruins of an abandoned lab, digesting some scientists in the privacy of its cocoon.

There are many possibilities for a murderbeetle, you know.

Anyway. This thing speaks rarely, and when it does, it is with a slow, buzzing voice. It seems to be sworn to a singular code of honor, but this doesn't prevent it to spread chaos and mayhem. The creature enjoys a good fight, after all, and the feast that ensues.

It also has some noteworthy physical abilites. Under the armor on its back there are powerful insect-like wings, that allow the creature to fly. Its carapace is incredibly thick and resilient, and anything short of anti-tank fireweapons will bounce on it without even a dent. The creature is considerably strong too, being able to easily lift a car and throw it at a target one hundred feets away. Its blades are extremely sharp, and the bug is incredibly fast and precise with them.
