Bethany Grew up in Pyrite town. He grandparents were miners before the mine closed. Her parents left when she was young leaving her with her grandmother. Her grandmother disapproved of pokemon training and forbid her to leave like many children did. Instead, she stayed in Pyrite where she started hanging out with local criminals. By the age 10 she had been picked up by the police a few times for petty theft causing her grandmother to crack down on her hard. Her grandmother was abusive and treated Bethany with disdain. When Beth was 11 her Grandmothers house caught fire and burned to the ground. Beth made it out, but her grandmother was not so lucky. She ran away from home after that to start her quest to be a pokemon master. She broke into a lab of a pokemon professor and stole a starter. Her first pokemon was totodile. From there she trained hard and quickly became a winning trainer known for her cruel and ruthless tactics.
