BigMightyPrey

Big, mighty creatures... Delicious, big, mighty creatures. What is so special about them anyway?

I mean, they are certainly accomplished to have reached the point they have, but more often they not they rest on their laurels, right? I mean, when was the last time you saw them in the mortal world? I say they sit on their throne, growing fat...

Or perhaps there are others, who never were that mighty in the first place - take a god of fertility. Awesome powers in their own right, certainly, but have they thought about how they should defend themselves?

No? Neither case is the truth? Are they mighty, strong and competent? They say they are unbeatable, immortal even? Well, there is an eternity to prove them wrong...

A hub character over related ideas. The prey doesn't necessarily have to be godlike, but they are invariably going to be a mighty creature in one way or another.

A simple vore game;

This is a simple dice game of two or more parts fighting to dominate each other I've come up with, designed to have high variance (and to be somewhat unpredictable), to have matches be relatively short, and to be simple enough to not complicate things. Although having two equal opponents works well, it has been designed to accommodate for asymmetric matchups, where the weaker opponent (rightfully) would lose against a stronger (with an higher "advantage", see later) one most of the time, but where there is always a chance to put the stronger opponents in their place. All it takes is a couple of good rolls...

The rules are as follows; both parts roll 1 dice (typically a d100). Whoever wins the roll gains "advantage", a + bonus to their roll. If someone rolls extra well, well, then they get more advantage; +5 for winning, and another +5 for every 10 they beat the others' roll by, so winning by 42 would equal 4*5+5=25 advantage. To simplify numbers, if you gain advantage against a creature who has it, they instead lose that amount of advantage (and any remaining advantage goes to plus your own roll). That makes it easier to see how the players are situated, say one having +25 advantage, as opposed to one having +145 and the other +170.

Ties are won with the player who had the highest base roll (someone rolling 100 on the die would win against a player who rolled 95 on the die and had +5 advantage), or alternatively results in a reroll.

Victory is achieved once a player can't roll higher than the other one... that is, when one player has 100 (or whatever die size chosen) more advantage than the other one. The winner may then do whatever they want with the loser... (As determined beforehand by both parts, of course~) Obviously, in between rolls, both players rp out whatever lewd things happen, the success of the actions of course affected by the die rolls. Note that though although vore is primarily what I have in mind when I play this, any sort of play of dominance could work, whether it is a wrestling match, a competition to see who cums first, or whatever else...

If fighting multiple matches in a row like a mini-adventure of sorts, advantage is reset at the start of each match (unless otherwise agreed by both players). Depending on the scenario itself, different creatures got different amounts of advantage against each other.

Oh, one more rule; if a player rolls a 96 or above AND wins the roll, they can choose to, instead of gaining their normal amount of advantage, cut down the opponents advantage to a quarter of what it was, rounded down to the closest multiple of 5. This gives the losing player a comeback mechanic, a small hope to hold on to, and is a great way not to have the winning player being overly smug about the affair.

As I said, thus far I'm unsure whether fighting 1v1 on equal terms is a particularly good use of the system; the numbers would need to be tweaked for fights to last slightly longer, for one.

Also, seeing how simple this system is, it is quite easy to come up with different modifications, like needing to overcome an obstacle to remove an ever-present disadvantage, give situation pluses or bonuses, whatever one feels like~ Don't take it too seriously, it is merely a way to add the element of chance to a roleplay.

Multiple opponents

When taking down a big prey, using the weight of numbers is always a useful strategy~ Here are some rules which supports multiple opponents.

Each part in a battle chooses one target before they roll (a particularly powerful creature can choose more than one, depending). Every pair of creature targeting and/or being targeted by each other rolls a roll of die + whatever advantage they have against each other, so if three kobolds would target a dragon, the kobolds would each make a roll against the dragon, and the dragon would make three rolls, one for each pair of kobolds.

However, you can only gain advantage over a creature which you have targeted. So, if a gryphon would target a goblin, and that goblin targeted the same gryphon, if the gryphon rolled higher they would gain advantage as normal. If the goblin won the roll, the goblin would instead gain advantage. But that is only the case if the winner of a rolloff would have targeted the loser of one; for example, say that an orc targeted the gryphon at the same time. If the orc wins the roll, they gain advantage as usual. If the orc, however, loses that row, the gryphon doesn't gain any advantage over the orc, seeing that the gryphon had focused their attention on the goblin instead.

Another important thing to note; each and every pair of enemies have a different advantage roll. That means that although that gryphon might have the goblin right under their claw, ready to gobble them up at a moments' notice (the gryphon having +65 advantage), that matters little if the orc has the rest of the gryphon tied up tight, with an almost overwhelming advantage (of +80)... Let's just say that the goblin better be worth it.

Example modifications

The system is a bit bare bones as is, and sometimes it is more fun to tip the scales slightly towards one direction or the other... So here are a few ways to do just that!

Quicksand; One or more of the players are stuck in quicksand! Every turn they are inside it, all creatures not stuck in the quicksand gains a advantage towards the creature inside the quicksand. To get out, they need to beat the roll of the quicksand by a large enough number (or alternatively, if one is really sadistic, the quicksand could be an opponent in their own right, needed to be beaten in the usual way, with the ability of taking those stuck in it out of combat, easy pickings for anyone who would come across them)

Never/Dislike They tend to be fun~

I could be willing to play pred in a scenario where I play a big pred meeting a bunch of random opponents, where the pred can in one way or another fall prey to those opponents~ For you prey out there, just don't abuse it, please. In this character I primarily play prey, and the focus should be on that.
