Her earliest Memory is scavenging in an alley.
Her second earliest is getting caught by the mob running the businesses on either side.. ,
Her third earliest memory is learning the tenets of the Giordanno crime family.

Despite being a chimera, Giuseppina quickly fell in line with the mob. Her abilities became assets, her reputation hardened into an upstanding (by mob standards), respectful, "trustworthy lil runt who knew when to keep 'er trap shut." Jokingly, some of the Made men began to call her the Black sheep of the family- and it stuck. The boss came to appreciate her like no one else, rising in the shadows as one of his lieutenants.
The influence, was not one sided however, as the Black Sheep recruited her own little flock- other monsterfolk, pushed away and shunned by society, suddenly found acceptance, opportunity, and (for a modest price) protection from the underworld. She sees herself as a pillar of the monsterfolk community- many monsterfolk in her area currently work for either the Giordannos directly or in more 'legitimate' businesses through their fronts, giving the family a sizable boom in profits.
Giuseppina is not without some moral backbone- She's fond of kids,and many would be abusers and rapists suddenly end up as missing persons cases when she's around. All cases with no link to her, of course, she's a perfectly legitimate businesswoman. Likewise single families usually are passed over for 'payment collection', and she's never let the "Widows and orphans" get too low. That said, cross the Giordannos, most say, and you'll wind up a cold case.

Black Sheep is currently the strongest member of the family by far, leading while the current don serves out his prison sentence. Ironically, Black Sheep could very well make it as a feared villain if she wanted total control,
...That is, if Family didn't come first...
