There are many stories, villains, and monsters born from darkness. Sometimes a hero claws his way out from the depths of blighted evil or cuts himself free from the clutches of some vile apostle of the apocalypse to bring the dawn to the heartless throngs of insanity.

And then there is Mistress Blake Ciquindel Namura.

There isn't much to her childhood, though she could swear that she has a vague memory of her father escaping a sex dungeon one day, only to be caught by the next door neighbor and dragged to HER sex dungeon instead. Yeah, a so called 'Dark Suburbia" can be scary none the less.

The modern age only makes evil more accessible. More ways to lie, disguise oneself, to put on a happy mask while hiding the vain and vile beneath the skin. That is why freelance work seemed to perfect for someone like Blake, especially after leaving the home after years of dear mother's 'Special Baths'.

Said freelance work does call for the occasional assassination or attempt at espionage, but hey, spy work comes naturally. It let Blake have a comfortable living, wandering around aimlessly and toying around with this or that until the next job would come around.

She has a few tricks and skills that make jobs easier to pull off from time to time. When she needs an extra pair of eyes in the sky, or maybe just someone to fetch her mail, she summons up her Messengers, a group of shadow bats that are nearly as strong and fast as her, a force to be reckoned with if angered. Additionally, with the occasional conjuring spell, she can also freely manipulate shadow on a physical or ethereal plane. Her greatest skills lie on her mental manipulation, however. With a word or a touch, she can nudge or prod a thought in her favor. Should a more heavy duty change is called for, all she has to do is get in close, and things will go dark in more ways than one.

No matter what intent, command, or plan she has in mind, just pray that the payroll doesn't have your name somewhere in the contract. She never forgets a name, face, or payment.
