ETA ::Profile (Bunji)

((Misc Notes; As a player I'm very friendly (even though i like to be pred ;P), so shoot me a note, even if you're just interested in talking about whatever. If you're interested in some special kind of pred just let me know, Bunji was designed with the varying preferences of people who like to be prey in mind, and Im open to compromises and new ideas! Also I'm not against playing with people who have a limited grasp of english, aslong as they are coherent))

(( Little personal note here; I am no longer doing RPs were Bunji's shapeshifting is just an excuse for him to be random predator d'jour; he is always a shapeshifter. That doesn't mean you can't request a form, but dont rip my ears of when I dont stay in that form allthroughout, thanks!))

Name: Bunji
Age: Unknown but extremely old. "Before the mountains"-old.
Race: Shapeshifter
Location: Usually spends his time near a village he has agreed to protect in return for a few sacrificial "lambs" now and then, but is prone to wandering

Appearance: Variable, he is a shape-shifter and as such he does not consider himself to have any "actual" form. That said there are a few forms that he is more commonly found in, out of practicallity or comfort, besides boring old low key antropomorphic forms:

Very Large Black Dragon; Bunjis' favorite form, a majestic black dragon, large enough to swallow a car whole. His black scales project a dazling purpleish reflection when in sunlight, but makes him hard to spot in the dark night sky. His massive claws and gargantuan wings complete the image of a royalty amidst dragons. ((This seems to have become more or less his standard form for now.))

Voracious Vine-Plant: This form consists basically of a flytrap-like body, often concealed somewhere out of sight, with long vines stretching out through a forest. The vines are used to catch all kinds of prey, which are then dragged to the main-body and ingested, perhaps after being toyed with a little first.

Ad infinitum: Sharks, octopuses, other kinds of dragons, wolves, bears, tigers, aligators, whales, snakes, nagas, harpys, more sharks, large spides, blobs in various shapes and sizes, massive sandwurms, more snakes and so on; I think you get the picture ;)

!Note!: These are mainly suggestions on forms, not his entire repertoire, feel free to ask if there is something special you have in mind, I'm likely up for it =)

Demeanour: In a word; callous. Usually calm and soft-spoken, the key to understanding Bunji is that he considers himself, and everyone else, a part of the foodchain. As a shifter he doesn't have any racial allegiances, but sees everyone as just another part of mother natures tapestry and as such; fair game. He does not empathize with prey, nor does he harbor any excessive malevolence towards them, in his mind they are simply food to be toyed with before being digested. If not hungry he can easily be engaged in debates, or idle chatter, though he is not known to play favorites when it comes to prey, so (depending on your desires) it might be best to make sure to be out of his reach before he gets hungry again.

Stolen Evolution – Bunji’s story
The sea was silent in those days, eons past, as the first cells spread throughout its depths. They formed membranes and biological machinery to process nutrition and reproduce, flagella allowing them to move aimlessly through the waters. Then came the organisms; multicellular structures, vast in comparison to the single-cell organisms that had come before, and amongst these one stood out. While the others relied on natural selection, using their mutating DNA to advance up the evolutionary ladder, this one stole it. Every time a new DNA sequence allowed an organism to gain an advantage on the rest, this one captured it, absorbed it, incorporating the new structure into its own cells. Shanghaied evolution. Eventually the first fish-things crawled out of the seas and inevitably one of these fell victim to the organism. Before long something very similar to the captured one crawled up onto solid land. But it was not of their kind. Eons passed by and this singular creature, a living timeline of evolution, kept on absorbing more forms, more DNA. Ice ages came and it would steal the form of a mammoth, meteors would impact the world and it would hide in the ground as a mouse. Eventually sentient creatures appeared on the surface of the world, and as one of these met its fate in the digestive tract of the thing a light flared in its mind. It was aware. Eventually, it was named by one of the tribes of the thinking creatures, as they painted a black mass of teeth and claws on the side of a mountain. “Bunji” they called it, in their tongue it meant “the all-thing” and they worshipped it as a god; thinking it was the spirit of nature itself. Eventually they died out, but they weren’t missed, Bunji had seen countless species disappear forever, many of which were now kept as part of him, their DNA forever mingled with each other in his anatomy. Living through the ages Bunji acquired a distinct personality, though it changed with the years. He’d be a jolly thing for a decade, a ruthless predator for a century and a renowned philosopher for a year as the fangs of time mercilessly assaulted his psyche. Through all the personalities he wore out , however, one thing was constant; Bunji was hopelessly alone. There were many times when he wished that he had never gained true sentience, and wished that he had remained an unaware predator. Since the dawn of life there had been no other like him. Other shape-shifters stalked the forests or hid amongst the humans but compared to Bunji their abilities were like parlor tricks. He longed for companionship but knew he could never find it, and hid his complete loneliness behind a cavalcade of personalities, hardly more than a row of masks in a masquerade.
