CODENAME : REPLICANT

Subject CR2 is an exact genetic replica of Raccoon City survivor Claire Redfield, younger sister of former S.T.A.R.S. operative Chris Redfield. Discovered as a simple mass of G-Virus biomaterial at the Raccoon City Research Outpost set up in the ruins of the city, genetic testing and bio-engineering allowed this culture of cells to replicate and grow into a full, living clone of Miss Redfield, exactly as she was during the outbreak. Why it was this woman and not the original G-Virus victim, the late Doctor William Birkin, that was cloned is still unclear. Whatever the cause, this much is certain: CR2 is alive, highly functioning... and execptionally dangerous.

24 years after the events of Raccoon City, a threat level BETA alert went up at the research outpost. CR2 had orchestrated an escape attempt, and managed to evade or neutralize any and all containment personnel. Enhanced by the base genetic code of the G-Virus, CR2 is stronger, faster, and more agile than her progenitor. On top of this, she has an arsenal of bio-organic defenses, as well as superhuman senses and brain functions. Should anyone come into contact with CR2, do not approach directly. Subject is considered hyper-lethal.

2017, 19 years after the Raccoon City Outbreak...

The United States Raccoon City Research Outpost (USRCRO or RCRO) has catalogued several samples from the remains of this doomed city. Some were more mundane; rotting corpses, infected animals, and so on. Others were more bizarre; strange, pure muscle quadrupeds with exposed brains and exorbitantly long tongues. For a time, it was believed they'd found everything.

Until they hadn't.

Scientists have discovered a small living organism; no more than a mass of reactive biomatter. Initial tests revealed that the base genetic material is a "stabilized" strain of G-Virus. Excluding samples recovered during the incident, as well as those seized from the now defunct Umbrella Corporation, the G-Virus was believed to have been wiped out with the death of Dr. William Birkin. However, this sample seems to exist in a kind of stasis; cellular replication is noted, but at a vastly reduced rate than previous records indicate.

Specimen has been contained and placed under observation.

G Specimen has been subjected to minor growth hormone injection. Substantial acceleration in cell growth observed. Interestingly, the growth pattern of the organism is far more structured than the G-Virus sample obtained from Sherry Birkin, daughter of the late Doctor. The running theory is that, having been separated from a host body for so long, the organism went into hibernation, feeding off micro-organisms that had escaped the razing of Raccoon City. Such time in isolation, without much mass to self replicate, likely led to a standard archetype being isolated within its genetic code.

Research concludes that with proper hormone injections and daily "feedings," the specimen could be grown further. Genetic engineering could allow it to grow into a proper, manageable biological entity. Further research required.

G Specimen engineering is proceeding with minimal setbacks. Organic structure is assembling properly, and recognizable human organs have begun to take form. Such a developement! Not only can does G Specimen continue to grow, but it appears to be replicating human DNA. This is possibly the first full grown human in history!

It is theorized--predicted, even--that the specimen will be able to fully assemble its own bodily accouterments (bones, muscle, etc.) in a matter of months. Progress continues

Subject CR2 (FKA G Specimen) has grown into a fully fledged replica of its genetic twin, albeit in a much younger state than its still living genetic template. Physical appearance resembles that of progenitor subject at the exact time of the Raccoon City Incident. Everything down to the hair follicles is an exact match! While asexual reproduction is a known fact among lesser biological lifeforms, for something as complex in nature as the homosapian to be remade as exactly as this... This is truly a marvel of modern biogenetic science!

Research into why this particular individual's genetic code is what the specimen replicated is still inconclusive. Some theories posit that the DNA came from an encounter between progenitor and the organism that was once Dr. Birkin; a sample of skin taken during a violent encounter, for example. Most decry this train of thought as whimsical assumption, stating that the more prominent DNA of the infected doctor would well have overcome any foreign genetic material in its onslaught of cellular growth. Yet those same critics cannot provide a sufficient argument as to why the subject in queation is not a copy of Birkin. Further research is required, though there is significant doubt any answers will be found.

Subject CR2 has been responding well to most recent round of tests. Interactions with feeders and teachers have been positive; subject has mastered basic greetings, simple conversational skills, and the like. All interactions have be recorded or transcribed for further tests, specifically memory recollection and cognitive stability.

RCRO command has directed staff to move forward with the BOWCM (Bioorganic Weapon Control Module) installation. Subject is to be prepared for combat trials by the end of the new year.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Many memebers of the staff are opposed to the operation, claiming it infringes on the rights of the subject. Command was swift to remind us that the "specimen" is just that; a specimen. By "rights", it should be treated as any other experiment; further complaints should be directed to management for proper disciplinary action, including, but not limited, to termination, detention... or high treason. The complaints died thereafter.

CR2 has developed what can only be called a "personality complex;" subject has been recorded using snide and leering comments to some of the staff. A few in particular have reported harsh and critical language in regard to their own abilities when it comes to "using more than their flaccid test tubes*." Said individuals were removed from observation duty.

BOWCM module testing has been progressing at a snail's pace; scans show that the neural genetic implant has fully merged into the brain tissue of the subject, and should be operating within expected ranges. Recent tests, however, show no sign of subsumed consciousness or c9ntrol of motor functions. Most recent report indicates that the subject tenses and relaxes in correlation to BOWCM stimuli--even a low level vibration of the vocal chords was detected--but there is no further reaction.

Commander [REDACTED] has ordered increased BOWCM chemical injection treatment. Results are expected to improve within the next few months, or "the consequences will be worth considering."

*Researchers involved have been reported in the past for harassment and other poor behaviors on the work floor. I will be filing termination paperwork by the weekend. Finally...

URGENT NOTICE: CR2 has not been responding to standardized visitations as previously recorded. Most sessions involve long periods of (willful?) silence; subject doesn't even look at the visitor or worker when they approach. Food continues to be consumed at regular intervals, but no one is able to get her to approach while on site... and no one has actually observed her eat.

One outlier in this pattern on record; subject made eye contact with staff through the one way observation window. It asked only one question;

"Why do I exist?"

Subject returned to its state of silent stoicism. No further changes recorded.

REDFLAGADDENDUM: A researcher noted after exiting another failed interactive session that a mass of biomatter was seen at the far end of the room; claims it resembles brain tissue. Sample collected during night period for analysis; results forthcoming.

"...should've know when we found the brain matter. Hell, should've known when she started acting all aloof and weird. Somehow, CR2 was able to detect, isolate, and expell the BOWCM implant. How did she do that? Is she really so acutely aware of her own inner workings? Looking back, it all makes sense...

"Lawrence was the first to take a hit. Came in as normal with CR2's lunch, accompanied by Sankar and a security guard. When he offered the plate, the girl smacked it out of his hands and slugged him. Guy didn't have a chance to react before he was out cold.

"Sankar immediately went for the BOWCM control; no response. She took a punch to the gut, then a right hook to the jaw that sent her to dreamland too. Can't imagine nothing broke...

"I hit the alarm as soon as I could. Security guard drew his side arm. Never had a chance to shoot... I still can't believe what happened next.

"CR2 leapt at him, and I mean leapt; cleared the length of the chamber in one move. His firearm was ripped from his hand and crushed like paper mache. He took a swing; she ducked, he stumbled, crashing into the observation window. Guy turned to face her, only to get caught by the throat.

"This thing lifted him; a beast of a man, hefted by this 5'6 girl...

"And then the brab broke the glass.

"Pierced clean through the guy. In full body armor. Body went went limp... Barb retracted, letting the corpse fall. I almost missed as the horrid thing sunk back into this monster's chest, with only a hole in her bodysuit where it broke through.

"Because I was staring at her.

"Staring at me.

"Dead in the eye...

"The blast door on the observation panel slammed down just then. Saved my life..."

Final Report: Subject CR2

The suppression team failed to secure CR2. Despite limited resources and limited knowledge of the facility, she was able to dodge the troops with unsettling ease. A transport truck was stolen not long after the breach, and managed to crash through one of the exterior gates. The truck was found some miles from the outpost. Fuel tank was empty; no sign of CR2.

Outcome and Objective: CR2 has been redesignated as a hyper-lethal, high value target. Any and all attempts should be made to eliminate the subject with extreme prejudice
