So, what does the sheep count to go to sleep? Yes, Cadence is an extrahuman ram- a human with Himalayan mountain spirit lineage, or vice versa. While she's a bit larger than expected at a towering 6'6, she does have sheeplike features. It's mostly in her horns and the color of her hair, stark as fallen snow. She's glad it's nice and straight as opposed to fluffy, because she herself is fluffy enough for her tastes. That kind of figure does make it comfier for her to sleep most anywhere, after all! And sleep she does- dreaming every time she shuts her eyes for any extended period of time. However, it's a little contagious. You see, Cadence tends to make others sleepy as well. She has a large degree of control over this- while by default, close proximity to her feels warm and calming, being around her too long while she's asleep will almost certainly knock anyone close by out as well, with more efficacy the closer they are. For the average person, in her arms, they'll be out cold with her in but a few minutes- and she's quite a firm snuggler in her sleep as well. Several rooms away might take a few hours, however, as that kind of drowsiness would set in slowly and be avoidable. This, however, isn't the most remarkable ability of hers. Cadence shares her dreams with others. Those put to sleep by Cadence's natural aura will always dream, and share the same dream with Cadence. If she falls asleep near someone already sleeping, then she'll enter their dreams instead. While a dreamer may lucid dream, it doesn't work in these shared dreams- the only one with any real degree of influence in this state is Cadence. She's very much aware when she's asleep, and is a constant lucid dreamer- even though she might tell prospective partners and prey otherwise. The simple truth is, she likes eating people, smothering them, and generally overpowering them- but she's so much more forward and capable of it in her dreams. While the abilities she possesses might seem to be relatively useless outside bullying people while asleep, Cadence has made work for herself in life as a hypnotherapist; influencing the subconscious is much easier when she can do it directly, and she can put people to sleep without much effort at all, so it all went hand in hand. She does take her work seriously, for the most part, and tries her best to resolve her client's issues- it's when she's off the clock that she toys with people. She runs a clinic of sorts on the outskirts of Paletown proper, along the north side, where she does all her work downstairs, and has her home built into the second floor. Despite her sleepy demeanor and work, she's an avid drinker and conniseur of coffee; possibly because stronger blends help keep her awake. She also enjoys sweet things, like hot chocolate, pastries, and the like. When by herself, other than her natural inclination to sleep, she enjoys watching movies and game shows, and reading a few fictional book series. So stop on by- you can count on her! |
