Cali was created some time in the past as a sort of experiment by Gabriel the Red in effort to leave a legacy. The wizard's Homunculus was meant to not only serve as a living continuation and heir of his research, but to also stand as a beacon of hope to the people of Machinae. The problems and issues caused by the Gremlins of the lost continent of Magnus had stirred the wizard into action long before any of the leaders of the other three continents knew to react. Cali was, put simply, a book that could punch you.
Though, as with most things of this nature, things did not go exactly to plan...
Enter Queen Histhia of the Gorgons. on Cali's native Zosimos, these creatures, the gorgons, were a byproduct of the rampant magical use in the area. where as the other continents used technology, those of Zosimos tended to rely largely on magic for most things. in any case, the run-off from this began having an effect on the local monster population. Nagas, snake people, these beasts had always been a nusance in the area for as long as anyone could remember. feral, mean, monstrous and untrustworthy- these monsters lived up to their serpent half's reputation. Well this run off changed some of these snakes. made em smarter, gave them magic and the means to gather their fellows under them. it was brought to a head when the one Histhia proclaimed herself queen, bringing all naga under her power to lead a purifying war against non-naga kind on Zosimos. her war had spilled into cali's home village of Aurum. Gabriel was always known as the kindly wizard and doctor for the village. when the naga came, burning and killing, looting and pillaging, devouring and raping, it was Gabriel and the three onion knights of the village who stood against them. sadly, while cali was fighting off a group, he could only look on in horror as his creator was cut down. Cali does not remember what happened after this, but whats certain was the queen was forced into retreat.
so, with his master dying in his arms, Cali was left alone in the world. the sheltered young homunculus would return to the wizard's tower on the edge of town, gather his belongings and prepared to set off into the world to fufil his master's dying wish.
"Live for yourself, cali... you have to live for yourself and experiece life."
CALI AND THE PARK
At the conclusion of Cali's canon adventure (of which I will add later) The gator finds a huge and ancient Hextech gate, of which when he uses the key he gained from facing down the Mechanical God, he is able to walk through to another world, off on yet another whirlwind adventure!
this is how cali can fit into most other stories, having walked through the gate and entering into your world. its a very convenient plot device.
CALI AND VORE
Yes, cali is very much vore capable. the gatorboy is damn stupid elastic, able to cram and stuff as much prey in his gut (or elsewhere) as he can catch. having yet to find his body's limit, cali tends to kind of feel a bit of a need to stuff himself when the occasion calls for it. though as for digestive tract? Mmm this is not the typical one you encounter. cali is at once a manufactured being and a living philosopher's stone, he actually absorbs 100% of what he consumes, either combining its mass with his, or converting it to pure alchemical energy. nothing is wasted and everything is used. that being said, people cali absorbs tend to have a VERY interesting time - w- the souless gator able to bring theirs and many others souls into his body, and also join minds together within him!
As you can tell, I'm kind of big on multiprey and absorption - w- I adore most kinds of vore and am a terrible switch when it comes to my pred/prey ratio. I'm also one for endo at times as well. makes it so much more interesting~
