A captain ranked Marine serving under one Vice Admiral Smoker. A capable swordsman (or should I say, swordswoman?) that has a well of knowledge towards various swords and is also known to confiscate different blades from criminals and pirates she arrests. While her skill with the blade is nothing much to sneeze, Tashigi's clumsiness tends to shine through on a few occasions. Courageous and bold, Tashigi is willing to take on anyone she considers her enemy but, her reckless thinking and lack of planning can (and has) resulted in swift defeats. However, despite this, Tashigi can be stubborn when it comes to these defeats and usually demands a rematch despite her having little to no chance to win. One could also describe her as a "sore loser" as well. Much like her superior, Tashigi has her own 'brand' of justice that often differs from other Marines and how they uphold the law on the high seas. As a result, Tashigi fights for what she believes is the right thing to do, which may (or may not) conflict with how other marines do business.
As far as ability goes, Tashigi may not possess a Devil Fruit like her superior, but she still shows that she's an able swordsman capable of defeating pirates rather easily. Her skills with swords exceeds normal human mastery, so much so, that she's been seen to deflect cannonballs with just her sword alone. Tashigi often uses the meito Shigure as her weapon of choice but, so far, has amassed a small collection of other blades and katana confiscated from criminals and the like. Her capabilities against Devil Fruit users is currently undocumented, however her newly learned abilities with Haki means she may be able to go toe to toe with an inexperienced user of the Devil Fruit. However, even with her abilities in Haki, it seems to be of little help against those with full control or mastery of their powers. Even so, Tashigi is capable of handling the dangers of the treacherous "New World" where the Grand Line is only seen as a paradise when one journeys there...
