The story of the Engström household is a tragedy in every sense of the word. A very well respected and wealthy family who descended from many successful predecessors such as war generals and doctors, their lavish estate out in the countryside proof of their decadent lifestyle. Lord Dumah Engström had married one Lady Mariah Veronique, another very well off name. The two having lived together many happy years before they tried for a child, much to their surprise, they would be blessed with twins in the womb...or so they thought.

During the labour a group of men had infiltrated their home, seeking out the Lord and Lady of the Engström manor with murderous intent, as one child was birthed into this world the commotion would become apparent. Their chamber door splitenring open, the sound of a flintlock pistol cocking, the smell of gunpowder filling the air, followed by the iron smell of blood. Lady Mariah lay there, cradling her bleeding belly, the remaining twin having perished instantly. Rather miraculously Lady mariah survived the attack, and Cassandra their surviving child had the truth concealed from her, told that her brother was stillborn from the beggining.

However as the years went by Cassandra came to learn of her families fortune being soaked in blood, her father in the slave trading buisness, his more public occupation of spice trade being a mere front, a facade. Outraged Cassandra demanded to know what else had been hidden, coming across a report of the events of that tragic night. The murderer in question was her uncle, having been estranged from the family as a madman after his own child was killed by Dumah during a fight between the brothers, turns out her Uncle Frederick didn't much agree with the shady buisness either.

Despite his love for his daughter Dumah would not allow anything to interupt his buisness, he could always have another child with a desperate young maiden considering Lady Mariah had passed a few years prior, and so having found her in possession of the report Dumah brought a blade to his own flesh and blood, stabbing her in the chest several times, causing her to stumble back and fall from the balcony into the main hall....that should have been the end of Cassandra...

Instead from her wounds poured a thick black smoke, the candlelight flickering, the doors and windows slaming shut. An apparition manifesting before the corrupt father, what looked to be a wolf with the darkest fur lept forth, tearing into the old man with malice and hatred, spilling his blood across the walls. Cassandra found herself face to face with this being mere moments later as he prowled over her.

He didn't need to say a word, this was her brother Caleb Engström, having been lost in limbo for many years the brother had done what most souls cannot, he'd made his way from but a tragic spirit into demonhood, choosing to appear as a wolf, the sigil of his families house. Now he lives inside of Cassandra, as an extention of her, keeping her alive all these years, she no longer ages, and should her body be destroyed he can simply reconstruct her.

Now Cassandra and Caleb live in modern day nexus, having since sold their old home and started new lives. Cassandra works as an actress and model with Caleb as her protector, though the malicious demon often finds himeslf happy to watch her suffer or cause some suffering himself.
