Caitlin (Japanese: カトレア Cattleya) is a master Psychic-type Trainer and member of the Unova Elite Four. She is also the head of the Battle Castle in the Battle Frontier that appeared in Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Caitlin is member of the Elite Four of Unova; she traveled to the region alone in order to develop her skills further. It is revealed that she possesses some sort of psychic powers, and that in the past, she had an explosive temper that would erupt if she lost a battle causing her psychic powers to cause a lot of damage. This, of course, is the reason why Darach fought in her place in the battle fronteer. It also explains why she is quite impatient, as she demands that Darach give the player Castle Points "at once!" after each victory in the Battle Castle.
Since her defeat by both N and the protagonist of black/white, she has took to traveling again, trying to find her place in the world....trying to seek out new ways she can forge a bond with her pokemon. Naturally, when she is beckoned by the champion for a match, she will return, but often times the others are more than able to take out challengers before she is needed.
