Celebwin was patroling in the forest, when she heard a scream in the distance. Investigating, she found an elf maiden being raped and eaten by a carnivorous plant. It was an illusion and one that Celebwin didn't fall for. The demon
Abrienda was on the hunt to be wicked... and after her first illusion failed, she tried a second one, of a spirit trickster. This one was a little more successful, drawing the elven scout away and allowing the demoness to set up a better trap involving a small forest fire and paralytic smoke.
That, sadly, worked, and after a very brief battle, Abrienda overcame Celebwin via use of weakening spells and vine entanglements. Celebwin was stripped of her weapons, armor, and undergarments, before the demoness raped her with her tail, anally sodomized her with a dildo made out of solid ice, and started to petrify the elf maiden's body in the process.
Striking back desperately, Celebwin used her magic to try to choke Abrienda... but her concentration was broken when the ice dildo was shoved down her throat and the spell failed.

It is often said that elves are standoffish. This is, perhaps, an unfair assumption based off of their isolationist culture and generally reserved natures. But when you find an elf that really is standoffish, such as Celebwin, then they seem like downright sociopathic loners!
Celebwin has never truly enjoyed the company of other individuals and, while not disliking them, has never really had much in the way of empathy for them. She has always been much more comfortable on her own, which is why she became a scout when she came of age. She has always felt a certain wanderlust in her heart, like a call that she can not quite hear in the distance, and very rarely stays in one place for very long. It is not much of an exaggeration to say that if she spots smoke from campfires in the distance, she packs up her few possessions and moves on.
Solitude is the scout's preferred state. While she is not aggressively hostile to others she encounters in the forest, Celebwin is rather wary of them, offering aid only to those in need and trusting even fewer. Every few weeks she wanders back into the nearest settlement to stock up on what few things she can not provide for herself and sell the various tusks, horns, and hides she's collected from slay monsters in her travels. She travels to the capitol at the change of the seasons to give a status report on the state of the border, but rarely sticks around long enough to do more then that.
While Celebwin does not describe herself as a pessimist, she lives by the motto 'hope for the best but plan for the worst' and has survived on her own by realizing that anything that can go wrong probably will. So it's best to plan for misfortune ahead of time. There is a saying that goes 'optimists are continually disappointed but pessimists are occasionally pleasantly surprised'. This works well enough for Celebwin.
As a scout, Celebwin is very self sufficient and is skilled in the arts of moving unseen and unheard through the forest that is her home. She knows the woods to the same degree that the birds and squirrels do, and it is hard to ambush her in her element. If forced into a confrontation, however, Celebwin is unlikely to seek assistance from others. This is unfortunate because, even though she is a talented archer, she is far from the best combatant around but has a slightly over-inflated value of her own worth in a fight, particularly up close. It is possible that one day she'll find herself in a situation that is out of her league, but won't realize it until too late.
