Charlotte is a woman with rose colored hair and blue eyes.
She grew up in a small neighborhood, but from a young age had very big dreams. From a young age, she never understood why the world had to be split up into so many different languages and cultures that could never understand each other and were constantly at war, so she wished to become a translator or a diplomat to attempt to bring the world together.
Strangely, her dream ended up coming true by pure circumstance.

After her neighborhood was abducted by a species of aliens known as the Gloomites, she was chosen as the sole human candidate to recieve training for assimilation into Gloomite society as part of the Universe Unification Project (UUP).
She was given chemical treatment to grant her the ability to breathe helium, as the Gloomites do, as well as various stretching and morphing abilities mirroring that of the Gloomites' own bodies, and the same level of night vision as a Gloomite, which is far above any human.
In Gloomite society, humans are a bit of a delicacy, but it is illegal to consume any human other than clones mass-produced by government-approved companies. Still, there was concern that Charlotte may be eaten by non-law abiding Gloomites, so she was granted bodyguards, as well as a chemical treatment to protect her from Gloomite stomach acid.
A testiment to Charlotte's dedication, she quickly learned the ways of Gloomite culture despite discrimination, and eventually even ditched her own government-provided bodyguards, claiming that she wouldn't be truly integrated into their society until she could survive without them.
She even, despite the obvious taboo of it, came to enjoy the taste of humans.

She hopefully (though perhaps naively) always believed that even Gloomites and humans could one day live in harmony, and decided that for the sake of allowing the two species to come to understanding of each other, she wanted to become the human ambassador for the Gloomites.
When she approached the researchers with this wish, they ultimately decided to ask the higher-ups if it were out of the question, as it would be a large leap toward the success of the UUP, and to everyone's surprise, she was accepted into the position.
Since then, she has been granted free travel between Earth and the planet of the Gloomites, Globulus, and there are plans to eventually reveal the existence of the Gloomites to planet Earth- but that time has not come yet. Until then, she hopes to introduce the Gloomites to human culture and give them a better understanding of our world.

(note that I am flexible with characterization to fit the scenario and your likings, depending on the context. and don't worry, you don't NEED to know her background to play with her. her backstory mainly exists as a baseline to use in coming up with story ideas, and there's no real "canon" to her, for the most part)
