Ah, psychic Pokemon. Always so graceful and refined, and even more so in gijinka form. Psychics are, of course, well known for being elegant, poised, taking painstaking care in their every motion, a universal love of tea, and of course, nearly constantly tripping over their own feet... wait a sec...
Yes, she's clumsy. Very much so. So much so that even when she was still a regular Pokemon, she managed to trip when floating around. Her teammates used to joke that her ability was actually Klutz, not Levitate. Then her trainer gave her an Eviolite, and they started saying she had the mythical 26th Nature, Clumsy. (She doesn't, although Hasty is sort of close, being a -reason- for being clumsy.) Of course, this was back when she -had- teammates.
See, a Chingling that hasn't evolved, even with an item that doubles its defenses, isn't really that useful on a competitive team. Even evolved, it's only marginally useful, and that edge vanishes when your team also has a Synchronize Espeon on it. So when an odd man in a white hood told her trainer he would make any one of her Pokemon stronger if she gave him that Pokemon to use as he pleased, suddenly the little Chingling found herself in a stranger's hands, being hustled along down dark stairs.
Well... everyone knows how the story goes at this point. Flashes of electricity, puffs of smoke, illicit chemical usage, incorporation of a DNA sample taken from her trainer (okay, that one was a bit new), a soundproofed room so nobody could hear all the racket the test subject was making... finally, it was done. The newly-christened Chiring (she came up with it herself!) gave her trainer a shy smile, stepped from the chair where the newly-changed gijinka had woken...
...and promptly tripped and fell face-first on the floor. Yup, still clumsy as sin... Her trainer walked out the moment he saw that, declaring that even now she was still as bad as ever, and that he couldn't -use- a gijinka girl at the League anyway. That was the last time she saw him; by the time she overpowered the hooded man (turned out she was quite a bit more powerful after all) and gotten her clumsy ass up the steps, he had already long since left.
That was the start of Chiring's life as a Poke-girl. She's actually pretty adept at making herself look like a normal human, but she doesn't usually -want- to all that much, she likes what she is! She only really hides herself if she senses unreasoning hostility towards her kind in someone (psychic powers do come in handy sometimes!) She's evolved, since then, through finding the simple joys of life. She tends to be more active around sundown and at night, though she's awake enough during the day too. In general, she's friendly and open, helpful too. She also has the sweetest ringing sound; just like her Pokemon counterparts, she has a bell deep within herself that she can ring at will, and it's a wonderful, sweet, soothing sound, not to mention very clear and distinctive (useful on very dark nights!) And yes, even as a lovely poised beautiful Chimecho lady, she's still just as clumsy as ever, still quite capable of tripping while floating in midair. Poor silly dear...
Also available: Chingling form!
Younger, much more recently changed, and even more adorable than before. She's a bit more shy in this form, her trainer's reaction to her still fresh in her mind, but still the sweet clumsy thing she ended up growing up to be...
Moveset:
Ability: Levitate
A common power among psychics, this lets Chiring fly unsupported and negates any Ground-type moves used against her. Certain moves, like Gravity, can negate this; Chiring becomes extremely frightened if they are used on her.
Zen Headbutt (Psychic/Physical)
A head-first charging attack that imbues the attacker with psychic energy to ensure their safety when executing it... even if Chiring usually ends up tripping and banging her head into the enemy instead of actually charging intentionally. Power 80, accuracy 90.
Heal Bell (Normal/Status)
One of Chiring's most loved moves. All friends who can hear the sound of the bell are cleared of ailments. This can also calm a human's mental state, such as fear.
Extrasensory (Psychic/Special)
An attack that brings forth Chiring's full psychic powers. This display of power shocks the enemy's mind as well as their body, potentially forcing them to flinch (10%). Power 80, accuracy 100.
Heal Pulse (Normal/Status)
When charged with her psychic power, the ringing of Chiring's bell grants a powerful healing energy. This move can be used on any one target besides the girl herself, and restores up to half the target's vitality.
Hyper Voice (Normal/Special)
One of the moves Chiring despises using most, but it came to her in a dream and no matter how she tries, she can't seem to rid herself of it. This is more a desperation move, using her bell's chamber and her mental powers to create a burst of sonic energy towards the foe. Power 90, accuracy 100.
Healing Wish (Psychic/Status)
Chiring's final move, and one she's never used before. This power will restore full vitality to any chosen target, and can even heal actual wounds. It can be used on Pokemon and humans alike, and may be capable of curing disease (this is untested at present). However, as a cost, Chiring will fall unconscious for a number of hours following, leaving her vulnerable and unresponsive to all attempts to wake her.
