Mech: TYPE m34 m3
the mech represents the JSDF first attempt at prdocuing a domestic mech made entirely in japen from aprts to design not a copied one or a linced one, with much fan fair it was released and combat tested in the phillies insurgency. while it was good try with mech for the first time and its ability to travel on wheels and legs made it perfect for rapid deployment it had huge issues that in a way reflected the JSDF. the first was that the mehc was in many cases over engineered and over teched to the piont of abusred many mech simply broke down and had to be reparied or more often shiped to japen for replacement this emant that half of time they where in repair making the model next to useless. Secondly the JSDF didn't heed advice in the build whcih meant that the model had made key military hard one lessons ingnored such as not armouring the servos causing frequents unarming in combat, the lack of a extra amroued cockpit to protect the "expensieve piolt" the disgners armoured the mehc but the cockpit was in this case given the minum causing many to aim for it and take it out, the designers also ingnroed the switch from missles to slug cannons or railgusn, while missles tchnoly was used still today the increasing effectiveness of anti missle tach means that the sue of a simple slug cannon is preferred, what was worse thou was that the designers gace only 6 missles to the pilot meaning that in modern mech on mech combat with anti missles tech it took the type m34 all six to kill or disapble the mech. with more advanced vsiosn reachin the rebels the type showed its issues though with it being udner armoured and unreablable you think that nothing else would go wrong well it could you see the mech was also undergunned, you see lets compare for the moment, the standard British mech called redcoat was equipped with a shoulder mounted 25 pounder railgun, a shoulder mounted missles system with feed with around 34 missles, a autocanon [50mm] that had a range of different ammom types and rounds that required both hadns to wield but was able to be braced easily with shoulder , and for closer up work 2 50cals on right arm.
The type m34 had 2 minigums n the right stub and a single 30mm autcanno with no bracer, and 6 missles that had to be manually relaoed form a expoed rear ammo bin when expended.
it was as such that the failure of the JSDF type m34 that caused a huge u roar as such and with great heed the JSDF gave in and the contract for the refurbishing of the mehc was given to a tried and tested company omni was in Cardiff wales. the version was brought up to spec with modern standards. working closerly with vivkers tanks works the team brought it more in line with the British redcoat. this redishge caused Japanese nationist to rail againt the new m2 verson as foreign rubbish it was in combat that the m2 preformed out perfoming the m1 that this argument was settleted the altter vsion of the m2 the m3 being bigger and better armoured was introeed later
