Chrana
"Good evening. For brevity, I will forego my full alphanumeric designation; you may refer to me as Chrana. Have you the leisure to talk with me?
A description seems in order, to begin with. Chrana is a fairly recent-generation gynoid (the proper designation for a female android), standing at an inch under six feet tall and bearing a weight she refuses to quote on the grounds that it is not an accurate gauge of her figure. The first thing one might notice about her is her piercing green eyes, eyes that hold more than just a flicker of electricity behind them. Above the eyes, and occasionally shading them, is a mane of pure-white hair, exceptionally long and worn essentially straight, though at times she'll use a silver headband to hold her bangs out of her eyes for more intricate work. Her skin, too, is exposed here (and nowhere else), a pure, pale alabaster and wonderfully soft to the touch.
Of course, this is all if your eyes weren't more immediately drawn to the girl's armament. Though little of it is actual weaponry, more protective armor and field generators, there is a rather significant amount of external equipment integrated directly onto Chrana's body, or directly beneath her synthetic coverings. She steadfastly refuses to remove this, citing it as part of her prior directives and duties and as an important sector of her memories, although most of it could be removed without special engineering. This leaves a heavy-duty frame adhered to her torso, boxes containing various generators attached to the waist at both sides and one on one of the cross-lines of the frame, larger boxes on each shoulder and along the back of the frame. A round shield also usually rests on her back. Other, more contoured devices adorn her wrists, ankles, and knees, as well as an irregular collar around her neck.
Beneath all this? Well, if she were to ever actually remove any of it, her body is quite slender and toned. Barring the lump of a device implanted under the coverings of her right forearm, her body is completely human in shape, though clad entirely in synthetic covering. This "clothing" is skin-tight, and reveals the form of a lovely curvy body with a 36D bust. There is no exposed skin; her body is mostly hidden under a pitch-black, smooth covering, though she bears something like dark green gloves over her hands and hard, shiny heeled boots on her feet.
"I now will re-examine my directives, and draw new conclusions. My creator's work is now finished, but my own is just beginning."
Chrana is what you get when you take a fairly savvy evil overlord with access to robotics technology and space travel, and a group of well-intentioned bumbling heroes with way too forgiving a moral code, and skip ahead to after the climactic final battle. Originally designed as an advisor, she was programmed with a high-level AI capable of advanced tactical thought. Her creator eventually decided she was getting -too- fond of correcting perceived flaws in his plan (even as someone who's read the Evil Overlord List he wanted to allow himself -some- fun taking over the world) and refitted her for maintenance duties too dangerous for humans to perform (and too boring to enjoy watching minions be maimed trying to do).
... and then the heroes, by the miracle of "being too stupid to fall for his traps", overthrew him. To her deep surprise, they refused to harm her or any of the remaining minions, leaving the girl rather... alone. She remained behind on the space station that had served as her creator's final base and last stand for a long time after the heroes left, maintaining it as her design and programming merited, and thinking.
It was another few years before she came down, her systems easily allowing her to survive re-entry. (In point of fact, they were designed to let her do so, in case an accident occurred during a spacewalk.) In that time, her AI had evolved itself further. You see, she had always been designed with autonomy and development in mind. Never actually bound to the orders of her overlord creator, she had instead followed him out of loyalty to the one who had made her. With him gone, she was free to decide for herself, and elected not to continue his works. Abandoning the now-derelict station, she chose now to step into a tangle of legal confusion and enter Earth society.
"Sir, I am officially a citizen now. If you persist, I have a legal right to use force. *pause* ... also, my contact has just given me permission and warrant to detain you, so I request you stop now, before I am forced to stop you."
And now? Well, she's mostly her own woman. Needing very little in terms of sustenance, sleep, or even shelter, she roams about occasionally doing enough in the way of odd jobs to allow her to connect to a recharge station or buy herself some luxury item. (She can taste things, even if she doesn't actually need to eat them to metabolize.) Mostly, she's just a curious soul, learning about people. They're rather strange from the point of view of a high-level AI, after all!
One thing she's changed since then, however, is a change to her insides. See... she can't metabolize them, but she was built initially to be capable of containing someone inside of her body, serving as a mobile high-security prison cell for a single particularly dangerous or escape-prone individual. She still will sometimes employ this when working to assist the police (though only ever at their specific request). Realizing that her enhanced-durability body could safeguard those within, she thus had her body modified to allow her to also take people in through her nethers, storing them in a reinforced but still flexible chamber within, prepared specially for comfort and durability, even pressure-sealed should she need for some reason to go underwater or through space while holding someone.
Beyond that, she's a pretty simple girl, just curious about the world around her. Give her the time of day and she'll be all smiles and questions...
