There are many alternative universes and thus there are many different Cicada's with various things have happened to them to make them different from the others, of course his backstory in each universe is the same, but his adventures in the nexus depend on which universe he specifically is a part of, because of this he has several mates and lovers spanning the multiverse to equal how many different versions of himself there are

Powers and abilities: changeling shapeshifting, advanced equestrian magic, is able to turn others into changelings with a prehensile scorpion tail, enhanced speed and endurance

Long ago in equestria Cicada lived as any other of his hive, harvesting love, capturing ponies so he could disguise himself without complications, etc.

He lived a rather peaceful life, well as peaceful as being his hive's Queen's first born of her first brood in a hive of shapeshifting bug ponies, however on one fateful night when him and his hive where all doing a special link that their Queen used to properly share the energy that they had all gathered, during this most sacred of times the hive was attacked by a still unknown creature and began it going on a killing spree

Though the hive fought bravely this creature seemed to be the perfect counter to anything a changeling could do, the creature started to ready some kind of massive energy blast just before Cicada threw himself and his Queen out off the side of the cliff which their hive sat upon.

The hive and all the other changelings were lost, for three days him and his Queen traveled and her mind was not lasting for his Queen/mother never severed her connection to the others and still had all of their minds within hers and it was slowly driving her mad.

Desperate he pleaded for his mother to send her link to them to him so she wouldn't be lost to insanity, she could still live and make a new hive, she refused him everytime, he was her very first spawned and she had already lost to much.

One night while she slept Cicada decided that he had to do what was needed, having gone through numerous spell books in his life his magical prowess was one part with some of the best unicorns ever known, he performed a spell that removed the magical link that his mother had with all the other changelings from their hive and gave it to himself, however instead of being a collection of personalities and thoughts they all instead melded into one creatin a new multi-personality with Cicada as the primary mind.

This all happening at the same time caused him an immense amount of pain and his screams awoke his mother and also alerted the creature to their location, cryinghis mother held him in her arms and kept asking why he would do such a thing, he simply said, "because you are our Queen and mother, we care for you above all things".

The creature was fast approaching and Cicada hugged his mother one last time and told her to make another hive, to not let their brood be the last she ever had, tearful she hugged back and kissed his cheek.

After sending her off the beast finally arrived and Cicada now remembered what it was, the last of a long thought extinct species that made prey of his changeling ancestors, if it wasn't dealt with it could find his mother again and destroy another hive.

I, NO WE WILL SEE TO IT THAT YOU NEVER DO THAT AGAIN, gathering all the magic he had he opened a portal to the this place known as the "Nexus", soon after arriving him and his quarry lost eachother in the vast reaches of the nexus.

Over time he has become accustomed to his life here, and every so often he cast a viewing spell to see how his mother is doing, back in equestria she is safe and has made a new hive and several broods, they all thrive now that the beast is gone.


though in some other of his personalities he's a predator, in others he's just looking for someone to accept him as he is and not what he what he can change into, he has met with much disappointment in this quest

He has a great love for root beer, its a pretty quick way to get him in a better mood. He also loves anything that can induce an ASMR reaction, its relaxing and soothing.

He has quite the competitive spirit and does love a good fight, though if he does do battle there is very little chance that any sexual activities will happen after.....unless his partner wishes it to be so....but if one gives him a good fight they earn his respect and he will be rather friendly towards them in the future
